    1. That sucks!! I cannot imagine these simply falling off.
    2. Thanks Kim. How much more would I expect to pay for a wartime dated piece. The helmet on the site above was made in 48 and the price was 115 Euros. Regards Paul
    3. It is me or does it seem like the tab piping COULD bit darker on the tabs than the collar? I will definitely make a close up scan of the image when I get home tonight!
    4. I would not think so... Anything is possible, but that would not make sense based upon the logic I have seen them use with rank insignia. It is a head scratcher...
    5. Hi Brian!! That is one beautiful helmet! I have been looking for one for my uniform for a while. Are these really expensive? Paul
    6. Thanks Jeremy! I appreciate your input! Welcome to the GMIC as well. I will make a close up of the signature tonight. I dont know if it is a stamp or not. Regards Paul
    7. Thanks Gary! It took long enough(on my side). They are beautiful. I dont think that the tab is from the Flying Leader Corps though... the highest rank stated in teh books is equiv to Major. This one is for OberstLt... My only thought is that the tab is for something else... Like perhaps the Engineers attached to the General Staff? I know that there were some attached, but I dont know if their insignia differed from the regular Engineer Officials.
    8. Something I have never seen before... Flying Leaders Insignia!! I will start a new thread on this organization.
    9. This is the first one I have ever seen!! Very attractive! Is it numbered?
    10. Wow!! You have all those tunics? I would love to see them in a new thread! Paul
    11. There are some stamps that are plain "LBA" and without a suffix, such as the (s). Where are those from? Sorry if I am confusing.
    12. Thanks Jos! Does the "LBA" mean Berlin as well? How many others are there?
    13. Hi Bill! Welcome to the forum!! Until you reach 50 posts, your photo size is restricted to 69kb or less. If you have trouble getting the image to post, please shoot me a PM and I can post it for you! Regards Paul
    14. Thanks Jos!! I have never seen an entire set in a photo before!! :jumping:
    15. This is the first such armband I have seen!! You come up with some real treasures! Paul
    16. Thanks Herr, for the explanation! You have a great collection of these!! Which others are you missing, other than the NCO winter Collani patch?
    17. I am sure that if you asked nicely, Rick Research could take a stab at it.
    18. Bill Shea has one for a very good price currently on his site. This one still has the Gilt! http://www.therupturedduck.com/WebPages/Cloth/C340k.htm What is the difference between the one with the fouled anchor and the one without an anchor at all? Was one for shoreside and the other for a ships corpsman?
    19. Thanks Marc. Has anyone ever seen a blue stripe before?
