    1. Then the term rare is a definate understatement! You are very luck to have these items. Thank you again for sharing these rare treasures as well as the education!
    2. Actually, yours is s different board. Mr Strong has lt blue and brown for secondary waffenfarbes. This one is bright red for: General Administration Service which inclues: Building Construction Service Fire Protection Service Surveying Service Agricultural Service Machine and Electro Technical Service The above is as per UNIFORMS and INSIGNIA of the LUFTWAFFE Vol 1, Brian L Davis Regards Paul

    8. Hinrick, I have learned a lot form your post. Please do continue with this topic. I would appreciate any photos you post! How many Icelander's were killed in WW2? You stated that there is a German Cemetary there? What happened to them? Accidents as with the Allies, plane crashes? Regards Paul Reck
    9. Rick and Daniel, Thank you for your input. I do not see any hint of blue in the ribbon... even under the backing material. Is it possible for all signs of the blue pigment to fade(even from the hidden areas)? REgards Paul
    10. BTW, this is about the actual size of the bar. It is on some sort of padded bar! Based upon the fact that someone could not or would not afford a proffesional bar, not such a bad job! Paul
    11. Thank you for posting your bar Bob... I know that I saw this question addressed some time ago on the WAF, yet why would anyone have a Social Welfare medal with swords? Rick, I will have to take a better look of the swords in a better light later... I cannot tell if the silver is painted on or not. Paul
    12. I want to share with you my "homemade" ribbon bar I bought a couple of years ago. Lifesaving medal ribbon and the Kyfhauserbund Medal ribbon...
    13. Very nice boards! Amazing how many combinations of these administrative boards there are!
    14. I have this ribbon bar in my collection. What do you think? The problems I have are the swords present on the TR era Social Services medal and the lack of an HK... Unless the Social Services Ribbon is something else... Please post your thoughts. Thank you in advance Paul
    15. Very nice!!! I would love to find something like that someday!!! (and an original medal case as well!). Thank you very much for sharing it! Gerd, How much are the Prussian LS medals going for these days? When you state that the LS medals from other states are pricy... How expensive is pricy? Regards Paul
    16. Chris, Thank you for sharing this unique bar. Where did the story come from? Article, a letter home, etc?
