    1. Now I tend to believe it's a merit cross of white falcon on 3rd place judging from the tear down picture where it shows very low position where the medal was stitched on. Officer cross has a huge crown and much taller than merit cross. Would you mind to show the reverse?
    2. You can check if the color changes on the reverse of the ribbon and back side of the bar under backing material, but I bet it's just some threads that're a bit aged in the plain red ribbon. So it's also a White Falcon order to me.
    3. Aviation collection? that sounds very interesting ? do yo mind to show them?
    4. I don't know if there was an EK1 in the group at some point. Anyway thanks a lot for the information ?
    5. No name, the photo doesn't belong to it. It came with this heavy case made by G.A. Scharffenberg.
    6. Haven't thought about that, it makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the discussion ?
    7. Looks ok to me. The ribbon folding and coiled spring hinge are typical Scharffenberg style. I wouldn't mind the reversed pin setup, maybe a frackspange hardware is used ? Another wonderful example from Wild Card collection
    8. This 1 meter long funeral banner has been lying in my archive drawer for many years, I never got the chance to id the names, do you recognize any of them? The embroidery is made from silvered bullion on black silk. closeup of names
    9. I see that’s a very common set of awards apart from the Finnish ones. May I ask is there a rough estimation how many Germans got the medal of liberty 1st class and the commemorative medal?
    10. Polizeihauptwachtmeister Paul Beyer -Medal of Liberty 1st Class, 1918 -Commemorative Medal of the War of Liberation, 1918 I think this is Beyer's bar, can anyone help to confirm?
    11. What a find! Congratulations! So the next would be the full medal bar ?
    12. Thanks for great info! Günter Gölitz from Landwehr IR-104 must be the one in the painting and 1939 photo.
    13. You did it again Daniel! how many times have you helped me I just can't remember ? Great to have you guys around, many thanks to everyone!
    14. Greetings gentlemen. I'd like to ask for your help to check if anything you can find on the name Alfred Günther Gölitz, who is maybe the recipient of this bar. I got the bar together with some photos and paperwork directly from the family, according to the information I got Gölitz was born in 1890 at Chemitz and died in 1984 in Munich. He served in a cavalry unit and spent some years in Belgium, according to the photos he continued to serve during WWII. The thing puzzling me is that from what I see in the painting, Gölitz was still a Lieutenant by 1917, it would be difficult to for him to get 1st class of Albert Order and 3rd class of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt cross if I'm right... Gölitz in a painting
    15. Hello everyone, These badges/pins belonged to a small lot auctioned recently, mixed with some other luftwaffe unit pins. Does anyone know what are they? /Jian #1. looks like a squadron emblem, with number 705. #2. #3. #4. #5. #6 #7 #8 #9
    16. That sums up pretty much. What about the Mecklenburg medic bar in the bottom of the picture? could the 3rd and 4th ribbons be Verdienstkreuz of Hausorden der Wendischen Krone and Militär Verdienstkreuz?
    17. C. Zeige auctioned another group of ribbon bars lately, one of them seems to be a little odd that the 3rd Reich KVK is placed after the Hindy cross, and no long service medals, does it make any sense?
    18. Guys I really want to show you this Saxon-Weimar lifesaving medal, it's a real beauty.
