    1. JB, Thank you. Does that mean the medal next to is is the same medal in a lower bronze grade?
    2. Thank You [attachmentid=39182]
    3. Gentlemen, I would like to show off one of my finest medal bars. Also can someone please identify the second medal on the left side? Thanking you in advance. [attachmentid=39180]
    4. Reverse -- same problem with the thread attachment [attachmentid=38473]
    5. A tiny spange of questional authenticity. ( Tthe thread that holds the spange to the ribbon glows under the black light ). [attachmentid=38469]
    6. Panzerpionier, Thank you for this valuable information and the correct name of the author. The book is in super condition and very heavy, leather covered. It is a work of art and collectible as well.
    7. Rick, I hope this works because in addition to not being able to scan this document I think I am dyslexic [attachmentid=35416]
    8. Stogie, thank you. Rick, let me send another view. I was not sure of the orientation but now I am thank you. The paper of the document is like watered silk.
    9. Gerd there is also a photo 3 up of the inside of the case and the document; however, that may to small to tell anything so here is a large one I know you will be able to read. I am not sure if it is positioned correctly. Until yesterday I had forgoteen I had this medal. Your medal is the first I have ever seen mounted. [attachmentid=35392]
    10. Gerd, a very nice example also the first I have seen mounted. Thanks for sharing.
    11. MichaW, that is impressive - what a document. I have a large book called Condecoraciones Espanolas By Gomez that has a whole line of fantastic photos seperated by tissue. The photos and book are of the same quality and style as your document. Great Document and Cross.
    12. Outstanding photos especially the "A well decorated officer." I bet his jacket was real heavy.
    13. Well gents it looks like there are several real nice crosses out there and even some nice variation like the one jacques has posted. I would assume that larger points are from a different maker? We have now seen several nice examples and I would like to thank you all for sharing yours and your comments. While surfing eBay last evening I found a very nice Cased Spanish Order similar to the crosses show here. I am not sure of the era; however, I am certain it is a very nice example, even the pin is engraved! if you would like to have a look try the link below. Again thank you all. eBay Order
    14. Jacques, thank you for the information on the crosses. I do have a couple questions, are they considered WW II aka pre 1945? A cross for someone persioned, do you mean like a retired administrator? Finally please point out where the cross is broken, I may have missed something. Can you tell me where the crown is broken, because it may be a reflection, there are not chips, nicks or cracks to the enamel. Thanks in advance. Now that I look at the photo of the Silver Grade I can see the swords! So I could have missed something on the crown of the Gold Grade.
    15. [attachmentid=33954] Silver Grade Reverse. Thanking you in advance.
    16. [attachmentid=33953] Silver Grade, photo shot at a slight angle to decrease glare.
    17. [attachmentid=33952] Gold Grade Back
    18. [attachmentid=33948] Hello Gents, I have a Silver Grade and A Gold Grade of the same badge. The width of each is about 63mm, and they are both in Mint condition. My question is are they authentic and what period would they be from. It was also my understnading the at one time the Enlisted Men were awarded the Silver and the Officers were awarded the Gold. One other point of interest is that mine do not have swords, I would assume this was a non combatant? Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
    19. Marc, WOW!! Impressive condition, presentation and photos. Thank you for sharing.
    20. Some ----- believe it is easier to be part of the problem rather then part of the solution. Just another reason not to collect Luftwaffe Badges.
    21. Thank you all. Since I can only add a few pieces each year to my collection I am real happy when I find one like this.
