    1. Thank you for the info Francisco!
    2. It was my understanding that all LW GABs were zinc, no? Nice badges by the way!
    3. Wessel, is the ribbon bar original to the original tunic owner? If so, do you have his name? (I'm working on a Legion Condor veteran project). Thanks!
    4. Surfing the web over the last few weeks, and found two of these variant la Medalla de la Campa?a with the gold lion and 'barrel' suspension on two different websites. Both are void of maker marks, front or back. Is this an obscure piece from the late 30s-early 40's, or a current product of an active imagination ? Comments welcome...
    5. Thanks for the update and opinions gentlemen. Consensus points to my Kinderschar pin (the first one posted above) to be a repro. Good to know. By the way, On Hitler's Mountain is an excellent read.
    6. I was browsing some militaria websites several weeks ago, and found this stunning Cruz de Guerra - long past sold, with no background info on it. I saved the photos to post here. Has anyone else seen an example like this? Happy 2009!
    7. My guess is the 'unknown' stamp is the silver content mark: 800, 900, 935 - it's a bit to blurry to make out. Unfortunately, I can't help you with the rest of the badge. Happy New Year.
    8. A wonderful find. Does the statue come with paperwork, engraving, or some other direct link to Henne?

      Happy Holidays!

A bit slow in the SCW forum, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to wish everyone Happy Holidays, Feliz Navidad, und Fr?hliches Weihnachten! I also want to thank the forum members who have shared their knowledge and collectables here, and helped me (publicly and privately) with my small SCW/Legion Condor collection. Best wishes for a safe New Year! Scott
    10. Alexandre, also note the ribbon illustration for the Spanish Milit?r-Medaille you show should have yellow edges, not green (see below). And the swords devices for that ribbon and that of the SCW Campaign Medal are German additions - the Spanish did not authorize swords devices for these awards (nor for the Spanish Red Military Service Cross).
    11. I agree with Paul, the second ribbon is the 1 Oct 38/Czech Occupation ribbon (see below). Also, you need to reverse/swap your Spanish Medala Militar and Spanish Civil War campaign ribbons.
    12. You can find originals or are they reproductions?
    13. Don, the book, "Condor: The Luftwaffe In Spain, 1936-1939" by Patrick Laureau ( http://www.amazon.com/Condor-Luftwaffe-193...459&sr=1-46 ) also lists many LC crewmembers by unit and when they arrived in Spain, who they replaced, etc.

      Spanish Naval Cross?

Thanks Rick - I saw it on "the other website" and didn't notice it posted on here GMIC as well. Muchas gracias Antonio... Cruz de 4a Clase, 1936-1977!
    15. Sal was working on this in the Research forum... http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=14925 . I think the only confirmed "list" is for those who earned the diamonds.
    16. I saw this bar combo on another website, and was curious about the Naval-related cross on the bedal bar. Any info on this one? Is it SCW-related? Thanks!
    17. He's an Iraqi border patrol guard, and he sold you the patches right off his uniform for $10? With that kind of behavior, one can imagine what/who that guy is letting through the border for pocket money (!).
