    1. Agreed - great photos all. Thanks for sharing them. Scott
    2. Snoopy, are there any markings on the tire? Thanks. Scott
    3. Last night I saw a glider badge that had that marking. I think it's a bogus maker/badge, but I could be wrong... Scott
    4. Very nice. I really like the early TR aviation/DLV items. Thanks for sharing it. Scott
    5. That's a stunning Oberst tunic there Paul Scott
    6. Ahhh - the Medalla Militar! Looking very closely now, I do notice the top of the medal. Thank you Jacques! Scott
    7. Great photos! Perhaps it's the lighting, but the officer marching in post #6 seems to be wearing the ribbon of the White war service cross and the Spanish Cross with swords. I would have thought the white cross would have earned a Spanish Cross without swords? Scott
    8. The C-17 is an amazing airplane. Scott
    9. Thanks Marcus for the update. Scott
    10. Another nice photo Jon - thanks for sharing it. Scott
    11. Not mine, but found posted at an on-line auction, listed as a "Post-War Museum Copy by Godet." Scott
    12. Yes Micha, on WAF, Dietrich posted a piece of paper of what looked to be an early list of EK makers, and Forster & Graf was on it. And as I mentioned, if you use the Search function here and enter 'Forster & Graf', you'll see the thread from 2005 I spoke about where the consensus was these packets were legitamate. I just wanted to know if anything had changed since then. Kind regards, Scott
    13. I've done a search here and on another forum regarding EKII Packets marked Forster & Graf. The most current opinions I found were here back in 2005, and everyone seemed to believe in them as an unknown maker (they are not associated with a Pzk or LDO number). Has anything come to light since 2005 to change anyone's mind? Thanks. Scott
    14. Thanks for sharing it PK. Very informative and prophetic... Scott
    15. Very nice!! Any idea on how many Italian volunteers served in the SCW? Scott
    16. I was thinking the same thing. The unusual combo/precidence and the ribbons tucked-up in the back put me off. At least they aged the ribbons to match the medals. Scott
    17. I found this one today while surfing the web - it's only marked on the reverse near the shield... Scott
    18. Adolph, thanks again for your help with this. Your photos and keen eye for detail were invaluable. Kind regards. Scott
    19. Here's where things get a bit complicated... The next photos represent a series of up to eight variants with maker-marks on both sides. On the front, "A.M" can be found either above the upper lion paw or between the toes of the lower paw. On the reverse, the 'Indrustrias Egana' mark is either placed near-virtically along the shield, or along the lower edge near the helmet. In addition, some or all of these variants may - or may not - have another "A.M." mark on the reverse under the the eagle's wing tip. This is where my 'research' ends. It would be great if members would check their medals, and post pictures of any not presented here, front and back. That way we can continue to marvel at the seeming over-abundance of dies Egana used to produce this medal Thanks for looking. Scott
    20. Here are a couple of unmarked examples. The one on the left has the distinctive shape at the top while the one on the right does not.
