    1. Peter, that is a beautiful mini combination! Thanks for sharing it. Scott
    2. Muchas gracias Francisco. It's not mine, but it was available for sale; I will leave it alone. Cheers. Scott
    3. I'd like to get some opinions on these wings. Do they exhibit manufacturing characteristics of SCW-period wings? They're 90mm x 40mm. Thanks! Scott (edit: With the star in the center, I believe they're pilot-observer wings)
    4. A fantastic group. Can't beat a medal bar that comes with a period photo of it in wear Scott
    5. Well, since Paul showed his attached to a tunic, I'll do the same. My favorite: an early cord-stitched droop-tail...
    6. Great thread, and great badges - thanks all for sharing them. Mark, your P/O is a real jaw-dropper Anyone have a period picture of an egg-shape badge in wear? Scott
    7. I wish I could say it was a grouping; but alas, it was put together for the photo Scott
    8. How about a small mixed bag? A couple of J1s with a Deumer and Assmann for balance... Scott
    9. Wow - super nice tunic displays! I'm waiting to find a bust small enough to fit my Luft NCO service dress - the original owner was downright tiny! Scott
    10. Don't forget to save the long, un-blemished runs of sprue for stretching into radio wires! Scott

    12. Vol 3 delves into male & female auxiliary formations, misc. field equipment, gorgets, belt buckles, steel helmets, flying garments & equipment, small unit weapons, flags/standards, band formations, etc. Lots of very interesting odds & ends. Scott
    13. Perhaps the "F" on the pin stands for Floch... Scott
    14. In addition to most of the above, here is a two-volume set I've enjoyed. They're by Ewe Feist and Thomas McGuirl, Ryton Publications, first eds. came out in 1994. Both volumes are filled with period photos of aircrew-related subjects, KC winners, and some contemporary color photos of uniforms, flight clothing, and insignia/badges. About 150 pages each, and can be found for about $25 each. Scott
    15. Amazing what you can create with a little casting clay and warm lead. Scott
    16. This one was professionally ground and re-crossgrained leaving only 3-4 traces at the highs & lows of the inscription. It's also serial numbered 12326 under the crossguard. Anyone out there know who this dagger belonged to? Scott
    17. Very interesting. Thank you gentlemen. My apologies for posting in the wrong section. Scott
    18. It seems the Prinz has enough medal loops to last him awhile!
