    1. @Christophe, thank You!!!! Thats from a Regimental History? @Paul; the number was used by Franz Joseph Ophaus in the 1930ies - Klietmann did "copy" the number. Greetings Daniel
    2. @Christophe; thanks a lot!!! Do You have any source mentioning him as Hohenzollern knight or a picture? He did as well geth the Albrecht ans Merit ORder with swords! Awesome decorated Saxon!! @Dave: Thanks a lot!!! @all; come on friends, lets continue! At the moment I have 7643 Hohenzollern knights, 410 more than Geile had in the 90ies. I am still missing 648 names :-) Lots of greetings Daniel

    4. Hi friends, I waited a while to see "where the thread will go". As Rick L. always said, there are 3 types of ribbon bars - the good, the bad and the ugly. This one here belongs to the ugly. Only thing I would like here is a proper inspection of the back. The bar is odd but legit and it is even ID-able. I will give no more details until it found a final "home". Best regards Daniel P.S. Stogie - nice to see that You are still "alive" :-)
    5. Hi Friends, next one will be the military awards of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. I hope, until springtime I am ready to deliver. If anybody is interested, please PM me. Greetings Daniel
    6. Hi Christophe, nice gift!!!! BTW, that bar is from the collection of Willi Geile. Lots of greetings Daniel
    7. Hi Rudi, niiice one - and I am glad that it found a good new home. BTW, I met "his Father" a couple of days ago :-) Greetings Daniel

    10. I would like to hold it in my hands for a proper inspection. I have some serious doubts about it. It might be that the bar alone os real, but single decorations are at least partly exchanged. Why? - the Red Eagle is a crappy "wearers copy" - the Hohenzollern seems to be golden; why to put one awarded piece and one self purchased next to each other?? - the Ernestinian looks silver gilt, at that time it should have been awarded I would expect a solid golden one - the Saxon albert knight 2nd class seems to be a quite low class on that bar. Usually foreigners got one step higher than native Saxons that time, so I would at least expect a knight 1st. Greetings Daniel
    11. Hi Peter, please show us the reason for Your question Greetings Daniel

    16. Schneider received the Zähringer Lion Order 16th of November 1917. Unfortunately "Schneider" is such a common name, that I cannot say "which" of the numerous Schneiders he is among the published Hohenzollern awards. Greetings Daniel
