Try contacting the Deutsche Dienstelle and giving them his name, date of birth and birth place. They might hold his service record and if you are lucky they could provide you with his service details. They only tend to give details to the Next of Kin but as you are related to him you might get lucky... Deutsche Dienstelle

It is the same officer who has signed on the opposite page. Unfortunately it is a lowly Leutnant and only in temporary command of the Kompanie so unless he achieved something like a high award the chances of finding out any details about him is going to be remote I'm afraid. -

(geb.) AOK 20 means 20.Gebirgs-Armee - See here... 20.Gebirgs-Armee Page 12 in the Wehrpass and Pages 4 & 17 in the Soldbuch will show what units he served in with the entries in the Wehrpass also showing the time frames he served in each one. He spent time in hospital with the condition of Mittelohrentzündung - inflammation of the middle ear (must of edited at the same time as Andreas was typing) -

The first one looks like a driving licence entry. The second one shows that he is a motorcycle dispatch rider and the third shows 'Gewehrführer' which is a leader of a heavy MG team, hence his training on the MG-42 with Lafette.
