    1. I'd imagine getting an agent recruited into that organisation would of helped massively in getting others recruited into the Bundeswehr as a whole.
    2. That looks like a great set, especially with the RK & DKiG listings being available with the rest of the paperwork.
    3. Nice photo. I wonder how many of those who returned from Soviet captivity and joined the Bundeswehr did so for the Soviet cause, i.e. had communist leanings/blackmailed into spying?
    4. Oberst Horst Niemack Born: 10 Mar 1909 Died: 07 Apr 1992 Highest rank reached: Generalmajor Kdr DivisionsAufkl.Abt 5 Pz.Gren.Rgt 26 Kdr Pz.Füs.Rgt GD Kdr Pz.Lehr Division RK: 13 Jul 1940 EL: 10 Aug 1941 Schw: 04 Jun 1944 Image: Citation
    5. That would be great, thanks for the offer. I always try to add such command lists to my files when I can and have bought unit related books in the past just for the command lists they contain.
    6. That could be a great resource. Does it have lists of commanders down to Kompanie level with dates of command?
    7. Oberleutnant August-Wilhelm Schumann Born: Died: 06 Sep 1941 - Killed in a crash while landing after a sortie. 2. J/88 I/JG-52 Staffelkapitän 11./JG-72 Staffelkapitän 5./JG-52 Credited with 20 Victories. Image: Antrag
    8. I'm having a problem identifying this signature for the Staffelkapitän of 5./JG-52. In Prien's Jagdfliegerverbände series the Staka for this period is listed as Oberleutnant August-Wilhelm Schumann (followed by Oberleutnant Siegfried Simsch from September 1941) but I can not see 'Schumann' in that signature.
    9. I have a copy of Friedrich Breith's signature in my files and that doesn't match. It is that of Georg Bechtel (DKiG).
    10. That does fit the appointments but that signature looks very different from the Hermann Busch signatures I have in a KG-40 grouping when he held the position of Fliegerführer Nord (West). See the citations here (the first three seen)... KG-40
    11. Is there a unit mentioned under the airman's name? The Feldpost Number is unreadable in the stamp.
    12. Three signatures on a Führerschein. The first one is for a Hauptmann(E) in Pz.Abwehr-Abt 5 and dated for 1938... The second is for an Oberstleutnant in command of Panzerjäger-Abt 125 (125 ID) and is dated for March 1941... The third and final one is for a Major in command of Reserve-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 5 and is dated for August 1943...
    13. Having tried a close-up of the Gefreiter image it might not say his name after all but has something in brackets after the rank. None the less, still a very good sketch. I am sure a lot of people would like to view the books.
    14. Nice selection. That panzer soldier sitting with his mum (I presume) looks familiar but I can't place where I have seen him in a different photo before.
    15. Interesting to see them. I can't say I have ever seen examples from a veterans organisation before.
    16. Many thanks for showing some of the sketches. Please feel free to add some more. I particularly like the one of the heavy artillery piece with the sentry and the ones of von Reichenau. The first one of the Grefreiter seems to have the soldier's name. Is that readable in the book?
    17. Thanks for that Dave. The signature certainly looks different. The 03.01.1939 Gliederung lists him as an Oberst in charge at WBK Deutsche Krone but the 1940 DAL has him one rank lower as an Oberstleutnant in that position but as an Oberst in the 1942 DAL.
    18. Can anyone confirm who this signature belongs to please? The listing for 3rd January 1939 states an Oberst (E) Röhrssen as Kommandeur of WBK Deutsche Krone but not sure if he would still be in charge in September 1942. I can kind of see some of that name in the signature but also parts that I can't!
    19. Oberst Wolfgang Heesemann Born: 29 January 1906 Died: KIA 06 February 1945 Adjutant 16 Pz.Division Inf.Rgt GD 1 Kdr Pz.Grenadier-Regiment GD Ritterkreuz 17 February 1945 (Posthumous) Ehrenblattspange 05 October 1942 Image: Citation
