    1. Thanks Pete!!!! That's one that hadn't occurred to me. I did a quick search and believe I've nailed it: http://www.johncasino.com/Fahentrager%20Der%20NSDAP%20Gorget%2010366.htm Now I just have to wait till he has it in hand and can do scans of the back... and then need a confirmation that it's original and I think we've got a winner! Shame the gorget isn't with it though. Couldn't have done it without your help! Thanks!!!! Dan
    2. Hi Helen, You're very welcome! I'm happy I could help out a bit on this one. Dan
    3. Hi all, I'm trying to help a friend of mine to ID this chain that he got in a grouping. This is only a partial pic but the rest of the chain is the same. The only thing I could think of when I saw it was that it is possibly part of one of the chains of office used by Burgermeisters and such worn for ceremonial and official occassions during the Third Reich. I did a search on the web and the only pics I could find were one of the central medallion for such a chain but it didn't show the chain itself. The other is this one of Richard Wendler, Mayor of Hof, Germany, and an Obersturmbannfuhrer in the SD wearing the Chains of Office of Mayor. Anyhow hoping one of our members will know what it is and would be willing to give some additional information on it. Any additional info would be deeply appreciated! Many thanks! Dan
    4. Hi Helen, Here's some of what I could find for you: General info: https://store.bluebookinc.com/InstantAccess/Category.aspx?product=4&id=97 https://store.bluebookinc.com/InstantAccess/Model.aspx?product=4&id=90 Go to the bottom of that page for a Model 100. Then an article on the Model 100: http://www.cinedux.com/resources/Haenel%20Model%20100%20Air%20Pistol.jpg and more pages of same: http://www.flickr.com/photos/23466819@N02/ There seems to be a bit more info here and there when doing a Google search. Anyhow hoping this helps out. Dan
    5. Hi Gordon, Will be happy to but will have to wait till they arrive. Hoping it won't be more than another week or so. Soon as they get here I'll do pics and pop them up. Thanks! Dan
    6. Hi Igor, Sorry to hear that but I don't have much in it so it's not a great loss. Hope to get a real one some day. For the time being this will have to be a filler. Thanks for the quick info on this! Dan
    7. And a full size document for a 1959... I'll let Charles elaborate on this one: Dan
    8. Hi all, I finally have a few minutes to post again. My 1959 cased set. Pics are Zsolt's and used with his kind permission.
    9. Hi all, I know the pics are not the greatest... will post better if needed when it arrives but would appreciate your opinions on this one: Thanks! Dan
    10. Hi Chris, Just what I needed... absolute confirmation. Deeply appreciate! Dan
    11. Hi all, I original posted this in the members ID and pricing section but thought perhaps by posting here on this one I might find more folks who are more knowledgeable on SS items who could nail this one down one way or the other. Any info or if original rough pricing would be of immense help. I did a search prior to posting in either section and so far can't find a match. There are a ton similar but all seem to have eagles and such on the sides. I couldn't find one that's plain except for the front SS runes design. In the original post Hardy said his gut said bad but I really would like to nail it down for sure one way or the other. Many thanks! Dan
    12. Hi all, I'd posted this initially in the member ID and Pricing section. Hardy says he feels this one is a good period piece. Hoping by posting here I might find someone who has more info, may have seen the same or similar before or may be able to give at least a rough idea of value. I hope posting it here is okay... I could have gone with general awards although it really doesn't fit there... it's not strictly militaria in the truest sense but it does indeed show the IC so hoping that makes it a good fit here. Thanks! Dan
    13. Hi David, Many thanks! I got the heads up on this from Grant who helps me keep an eye out for 57's. He knew I'd wanted one forever and a day and he ran across it, let me know and I grabbed it pretty quick. I can't want to have it in hand but it's coming from England so will probably be another week and a half to two weeks... although it could be sooner. One of course never knows with the postal service. Dan
    14. Number 10 (serial numbered that is)... and one non serial numbered and counting. Dan
    15. It was my pleasure. Happy I could be of assistance. Dan
    16. Also not sure of that particular uniform but here are a couple of links... there are tons if you do a search on Google or the other search engines: Info and a few pics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Edward,_Duke_of_Saxe-Coburg_and_Gotha A number of pics: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Charles_Edward,_Duke_of_Saxe-Coburg_and_Gotha He was head of the German Red Cross during the TR. Hope this helps. Dan
    17. I did a bit of research and found that it's a Bulgarian postal service cap badge from the 50's. Dan
