    1. From what I have seen of these graduation badges they look like they engraved direct on the sheild

    6. Talking of Red Banners of Labour remindes me why I got into Soviet Medals, it was first medal I bought. I just love symbolism of the large Hammer and Sickle and it was only ?10.00 (that was three years with its document) I Currently own three of them, 1. A rather dubious Type 1 wich has been shown on the forum before. 2. Type 5 Variation 2 No. 287685 3. Type 6 Variation 1 No. 859019. Does any body know why on the Type 6 the hammer goes under sickle and on all other variations the Hammer goes over the sickle?

    8. Kevin, You are correct the first item is a Voroshilov Marksman badge heres the link to a similar item on Collect Russias website. http://www.collectrussia.com/DISPITEM.HTM?ITEM=13394. The one collect Russia is higher level than yours, still a nice badge The next two items im not sure about Item number 4 is The Order of the Badge of Honour Type 4 Variation 2. This medal was awarded for Labour Achviements in the USSR. Order of Victory

    10. Personaly, I am one of those people who collects because he wants the full set but if a medal came with research I would keep it with the medal for re-sale purposes. At the moment though I wont be researching any of my medals because I would rather spend the money on expanding my collection. Just my two rubles.......... Order of Victory

    17. My HSL No. 7925 doesnt have its large award book, it has its Order Book with photo, so it wont be reasarchable but I dont mind I just like the Order. But I still cant belive how small it is
