    1. Actually I got some info that Julia is screwing this one up big time. Several of the ultra rare helmets they are selling is groups of three. The lots looks like around USD 50,000 or so. I am betting the "little stuff" is going to go for less than you would expect. The real big dogs are going to kill each other trying to bid on the groups, since most have a single helmet that is ultra rare!!! I'm going to order the catalogue, so if anyone wants info, I will post when it arrives
    2. This was fun to read!! Thanks Brian!! I'm getting bills for Christmas, so you are doing better than me!! (I however win for quantity of items...... )
    3. I talked to Randy Trawnik about this, the lots are going to be very impressive I have been told.
    4. Beautiful!!!! And I noticed the case, to the mannequin's left, is full of wings!!! I cant wait to see the pilot photo!
    5. Even for this time period? I understand the monetary value of these items is high, but is there a huge demand for them?
    6. This one should win just because of the dog!!
    7. I am betting this is sitting in a very wealthy collectors safe right now. Art thefts are nothing new in Europe, why should medals be different??
    8. awesome badge!!! What were they flying at this time??? What date is the badge? 1920's? or 1930's?
    9. WOW!!!! I never knew the St Andrew Order was awarded like that. Imperial Russia had the most beautiful medals in my opinion.
    10. Wow that is an amazing piece!!! I would honestly love to see it in a collector's hands that could take care of it.
    11. VERY NICE!!! Now that is a rare one!! Quick question, what do you think of the Verlag Militaria book at your feet (assuming those are yours ) I've got the second volume on the Horizon Blue uniforms for the aviation section
    12. Hi Chris!!! So is it not available for ship to the US? Id still be interested even in that shipping price.
    13. I'm stunned he survived the first wound. Knowing that trauma surgery and the understanding of sepsis was at its real infancy. Amazing early group Chris
    14. Unfortunately I'm in the same boat. I've had so many projects I meant to do, wanted to do, and should have done. I let the chance slip by. I'm not on the site, no involved, and the items I have are sitting and gathering dust. "Other" stuff gets in the way, and you lose track of what is enjoyable, and what makes this hobby fun.
    15. I know I've seen something like this before. Is there any photos in Baer's History of the German Steel Helmet with a helmet like this??? Love the age on the paint though. Neat to see original work like this!!! (plus the liner is a killer --- very nice!!)
