Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 (edited) I've posted my collection on another Forum, but I promised Chris that I'd also post it here, so here goes. As a general background, I collect stuff from all the Wehrmacht branches, plus a little political stuff. I have a 'bunker' in the basement that is made up of three rooms. Here are some general shots of the first room, which is dedicated to Heer stuff. Edited April 16, 2007 by Dave Suter
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 The Infantry Captain with the helmet on was my first tunic.
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Another shot. The room has been re-arranged somewhat since this photo was taken. Also note the crappy concrete floor. That's been improved somewhat.
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Another 'old' photo. The shelves below then uniforms are now filled with books.
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 A more recent photo. The floor is much improved, and the table behind the uniform is full of straps & boards.
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Jeeze, I just noticed that I'm on 'probation'. Those that know what I do for a living will find that humorous.Anyway, moving on, here's room #2. This is the small amount of poltical stuff that I have.
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 God, look at all that dust! I'm embarrassed to post this photo. Look at all that dust! I was sheet-rocking in another room, and anyone who's done sheet-rock knows how the dust goes everywhere.....
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 (edited) Room #2 also has a few Kriegsmarine tunics in it. Edited April 16, 2007 by Dave Suter
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Sure does look better with the carpet, doesn't it!!??!?!??
Guest Rick Research Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 NOBODY is looking at the FLOOR! I thought the cat was to "sweep" the dust down? Added any named tunics lately? And IS there even anything still "out there?" We see uniforms about every 5 years as somebody sells off a collection, and none in between.
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 (edited) And, the last room is dedicated to the Luftwaffe. Edited April 16, 2007 by Dave Suter

I'm pretty much out of room, and since the job change, extra-duty $ is gone.
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 A couple more LW tunics - and more dust..... (I've cleaned the place up since then, Rick. The damn cat refuses to work.)
Guest Rick Research Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 But there's an inspiration to us all-- Stop When The House Is Full! In absence of new "stuff" myself, have been adding steadily to reference sources. Glenn turned up the secret 1939 list of army Beamten, so might be worth checking some pocket labels again.
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Miscellaneous LW insignia in home-made frames. What a pain in the butt they are to make.....

All my 'HV' tunics have had the names removed....
Dave Suter Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Last shot of the night. Looking out from Room #3 into Room #2. Later on I'll post photos of the individual uniforms and of the loose cloth that I have.
