Jos Le Conté Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 (edited) Collection is boxed-up to do some work in the house.., but before it goes in storage I'd like to show my Hartmann jacket to those interested..Rather used, but I like it a lot as it is..There're many fakes of these jackets or ones not used by pilots, but this one was used by a pilot. You can see the shoulderpart at the back looks rather scuffed by the wear of the swimmingvest and parachute, while at front there's less damage actually, because that part is covered by the lungs of the swimmingvest plus there's less tension there..The lining of the pockets is made of rather stiff kinda coated "oilcloth"..Jacket came with money still in one of the pockets, 3 German WW2 coins and a Belgian coin plus a movie theater ticket..Jos.
