Robin Lumsden Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 Chris. They used the old type skull in the prototypes, which were rejected. But ................... nice to see the skull still featuring on British uniforms in these politically correct times. .....................
Robin Lumsden Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) Great patina on that badge. It takes 100 years to look like that !! Never, never polish it Just wash it with soapy water. Edited June 20, 2016 by Robin Lumsden

I don't remember that Weitze had an original on his site during last years? There were only MWH fakes for sale. Can you show us pictures?
Sergeant 08 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 I'm sorry, but that is no original. It is a fake.
Paul S Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 The more research I'm doing is telling me that it is a fake as well.....no to see if I can get my money back!
Paul S Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Guys, check this out......dealer sold as 1918 or so.....
Chip Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 I've seen the black/white/red slip-on loops in WWI strap collections. I wasn't sure what they indicated....perhaps volunteers. Seeing this, it seems it must be a postwar thing. Chip

It was offered as "Wehrwolf", but in my opinion it has nothing to do with the Wehrverband. Edited August 8, 2016 by Sergeant 08
Odulf Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 (edited) Not a badge, but a German propaganda picture-stamp (4 x 6 cm) dating around 1944, showing the faces of Rooseveld, Stalin and Churchill in a skull. Edited September 23, 2016 by Odulf

BigCity Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Awesome collection. I do have a question. Post number 2 the blue hat with the orange piping on the second shelf. Can you tell me what it is please? I have one, with out the badge, and don't know what branch it represents.
peter monahan Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Big City Welxcome to the GMIC! In answer to your question, I'm not sure which post you mean but you will likely have better luck if you ask the original poster directly. Just click on the screen name of the person who posted and you can send him a private message. Peter
Robin Lumsden Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 (edited) Re. the 'Black Skull' debate from so many years ago, back in 2009. More evidence of skulls and Minenwerfer troops going together ........... Edited March 28, 2017 by Robin Lumsden
