Chris Boonzaier Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I just picked this up today... seems to be a one piece Zincker with Iron swords....
spolei Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Hello Chris, that is right. It was the last production of Deschler.
Alan Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Hi Guys, What does everyone think about this MVK 1st Kl. with Crown and Swords http://www.emedals.com/highlighted-offerings/germany/german-states/bavaria/orders/order-of-military-merit/a-bavarian-1st-class-mvk-with-crown-swords-case-of-issue-g13350

spolei Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Hi Guys, What does everyone think about this MVK 1st Kl. with Crown and Swords http://www.emedals.com/highlighted-offerings/germany/german-states/bavaria/orders/order-of-military-merit/a-bavarian-1st-class-mvk-with-crown-swords-case-of-issue-g13350 Hello, the box is for a second class crown swords. This cross was not awarded during WW1. Only Hemmerle and Leser built crosses in this rank. Deschler produces only second and third classes during WW1. For me it is a fake. Alan Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 I would have to agree. Details soft, Lack of quality and that enamel work around the buckle, I think the term was "Monkey Hands"
lambert Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Hi guys ! What do you think of that offered in Ebay.de have my suspicions about this MVK 2nd Class http://www.ebay.de/itm/121398869125?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Lambert Edited August 7, 2014 by lambert
spolei Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Hello Lambert, I have no suspicions about this MVK. It is a Hemmerle second class with crown and swords. It was awarded to an official, because the ribbon is for "Kriegsverdienst". The bar looks like prussian, because the prussian service medal. Possibly a bavarian official in prussian army. Or a prussian official who was decorated by the bavarian Kingdom. Edited August 9, 2014 by spolei
lambert Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Hello Spolei ! Thanks for answering. unfortunately I lost, I will try next .. Lambert
Alan Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Hi Gents, Does this BVK stand a chance? Weight 27.24g and feels heavy in hand. Cross is Unmarked
Alan Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 (edited) Some more pics Edited November 25, 2014 by Alan
spolei Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 (edited) Hello Alan, at first, it was difficult for me. I've compared this cross with my pictures, but by my opinion it is a fake. The swords are Deschler-swords, but I know MVK's, where the swords hat be retrofittet, so Deschler-swords could be used. The cross is a early Deschler, the frontmedaillon is one piece ( regular three piece). Deschler hasn't produced this kind of MVK, only Hemmerle and Leser. Sorry Edited November 25, 2014 by spolei

Richard Gordon Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Mine. GH 950 These are such a beautiful award.Nice Pics... what did you use to get such clear close ups?
ccj Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 The post notification I received for this latest post was pretty nice. Preview of all the images. Very nice.
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Sorry, due to an error on my side I erased Richards Pics, have asked him to repost them...
Richard Gordon Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I need to read this thread completely but without photos showing it makes it hard to follow. While I'm waiting for the photos I'll post this...was on eBay not that log ago: I think when I discussed this on a Spanish forum, the consensus was that only the swords were made by Deschler and had been added to the cross but the cross itself was from another maker. Is that correct that Deschler was not a maker of the 4th class?
spolei Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Hello, last time I had a lot of problems with the new forum, I couldn't write anything. This MVO with the Deschler-swords is a Hemmerle-cross.The signs will be on the frontsite of the agraffe under the swords.I've never seen MVO's with Deschler-swords. Deschler wasn't a manufactuere for the MVO, they produce only MVK second and third class. Can you show a picture of the whole backside of theses MVO?I want see if it is a gold or a silver gilt medaillon. What kind of ribbon has the MVO, would you show us the complete bar?Cheers Andreas
Richard Gordon Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Unfortunately I didn't save any more photos of the medal bar. If I recall the photos in the auction didn't reveal all that much more.
Chris Boonzaier Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 This is pretty rare.... I have never had one before..... am sure Andreas will appretiate it and the home town of the recipient ;-)
spolei Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Hello Chris, gratulations for this rare set. I'm a little bit envious.
