Claudius
Another ribbon bar a found... interesting combination! These Schwarzburg awards have really peak my interest recently. But this double SEK one confuses me. I believe I have even seen this double combination before (or this is the one I remember). I thought if you recieved a higher award when you already had a lower class you traded in the lower award and only wore the higher class. Or if Schwarzburg made an exception to that rule...is this bar showing a SEK3X and SEK4X, or a 2nd and 3rd class or a 1st and 2nd SEK? How can we tell? The last posiblity I did not give any attention to is that it is a SEK then SKM?

Claudio
Hi Paul, I don't think the wearer was Bavarian but rather he was from Schwarzburg-Sonderhausen.... C

christerd
Maybe a little off topic Since I didn´t bought this at Gunzenhausen but I thought it would fit among the others from Schwarzburg A Würtemberger with ? Do you think I should replace the missing swords ? But I suppose they could be silver or gold and no way to tell which.... Vatjan
Book of written by Georg Freiherr von Ompteda about his experiences on the Russian front during WWI in a cavalry unit... Hi, If while reading you find a reference to the Belgian armoured car corps, also fighting on the Russian front, I would love hear it.
