Chris Boonzaier
For some reason, when I see something like this I cannot help wondering how long its going to take for someone to break in and clean out the collection.... Happened at the German Airforce museum... and just this weekend a huge break in at the Verdun memorial museum cleaned out half the collection.... We share the hobby with pondscum who would see this as just the thing for a weekend adventure....

I do beg to differ a bit though and think that "pondscum" is too complimentary for these types of individuals. There will be a day soon where these types of items will no longer be on public display due to this type of criminal activity. "SPM"
Chris Dale
Thanks for these photos. Here's a museum I will have to go to one day! Do you happen to recall the names of the pilots in Picture 12? Is that Oberleutnant Gerhadt Felmy of FA300 on the right? Cheers Chris

GMU
Claudio, thanks for posting these photos. I have seen this collection when I visited Neal in his museum in NJ back in 1994. He was a wonderful person and a good friend. His books are outstanding. The uniform belonged to Boelcke as Les said. Jacobs medals are original, and he got them directly from Jacobs himself back in the 70's. Berthold 's medals are original too. Interesting to note that his PLM has a joined "ur" Edited November 6, 2010 by GMU
Claudio
Picture 15, Very nice pictures of the later in WW2 General of the Luftwaffe Hugo Sperrle with a reproduction of his medal bar with original orders and medals. A picture of Sperrle I found on the net with his original medal bar worn in WW2. C
