    The interior is too large for the scanner, so I will have to scan in two pieces and paste together (sorry).

    No. 393. This one has obviously hard a hard life, not spent loafing in the valuts of the state bank.

    Poor thing, thank god it found a loving home to spend its retirement days =o)

    Haven't we seen this one before?

    I remember being dubious about the handwriting of the serial number on the doc.

    Upon close inspection, now that you have it in your hands Ed, what do you think?

    To my eyes and my magnifying lens, it seens (1) contemporary and (2) close enough to match other writing on the document. I do find the award of this badge as late as September 1973 to be odd but, being Mongolia, stranger things have happened.

    I think we talked about this before... it's almost a paralel to some of the odd, out of sequence Soviet award numbers.... The "Everything in one box and what comes out, comes out" theory... I liked this set every time I've seen it!
