rujab Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Hi Chris My english is too Bad, in German Gestiftet von Großherzog Ludwig III,am 1.Mai.1849 um weitere Mittel zur Belohnung zu gewinnen. An Militärpersonen (unter dem Offiziersrang) gelangten stets Kreuze mit Schwertrern zur Verleihung. Gleichzeitig mit der Stiftung des Ritterkreuzes II.Klasse am 10.Nov.1859 wurde verfügt,das fortab auch das Silberne Kreuz des Philipps-Ordens dessen größe haben soll(32mm groß). Das Mittelschild 16 mm.Am 1.Dez.1881 kam die silberne offene Krone (20mm hoch) als besondere Auszeichnung. Ab 8.Mai.1893 konnten die Kreuze mit Schwertern nur mehr für Verdienste im Kriege,aber auch an Zivielpersonen verliehen werden. Vielleicht kann es ja einer in Englisch übersetzen. Gruss Rudi
