Gordon Williamson Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 Schwerin Badges IMHO are not always the best, but their HSF takes a lot of beating.
Dave B Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 (edited) Very, very nice Gordon!Could you have a look at this Schwerin HSF please mate,I am slightly unsure about it.The left bridge window is not as well formed as the other four,I think the repros are totally missing the window??. I'm sure I have read that this poorly formed window irregularity is a trait on some HSF's made by Schwerin?CheersDave[attachmentid=950]reverse[attachmentid=951] Edited April 28, 2005 by Dave B
Gordon Williamson Posted April 28, 2005 Author Posted April 28, 2005 Dave,There are a few subtle die features on your badge that I'd expect to see on a genuine Schwerin badge but have been missing on the high end fakes, so I reckon yours is OK.
Guest Darrell Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Here is my VERY Salty HSF Badge ... seen better days
Nick Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 This one I have always taken to be a fake. There is a feint lettering to the reverse f.o. I believe.
Michel Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Cased, with miniature←Hello Gordon,More case pictures please.Best,Michel
Gordon Williamson Posted May 1, 2005 Author Posted May 1, 2005 (edited) Michel,Sadly, the exterior of the case is not so nice and has some damage. I still like it though as they are very very hard to find !Nick,I'm pretty certain the one you show is a fake. Probably a casting taken from a genuine fo badge as the "master". The hinge block is a major give away. Edited May 1, 2005 by Gordon Williamson
Michel Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Michel,Sadly, the exterior of the case is not so nice and has some damage. I still like it though as they are very very hard to find !←Thank you for the picture Gordon, and I agree with you, the KM boxes are very very hard to find, I will be happy with this one...
dond Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 The reverse. The recipiant scratched his name into it. "Lohm??" I believe. Guess he didn't trust his mates.Don
Guest Darrell Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 With that guy sitting around at night ... would you??? cheeky

Marcus H Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Beautiful box Gordon and rather like, 'rocking horse $$$$'.This RS&S came in a packet, found in a nice large retailors box......which could have been related the badge in association only (probably had lots of goodies in there at one time) or not, we'll never know for sure.
JBeltram Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Hello,Nice Highs Seas Fleet badges. Here is my example by Schwerin Berlin.Regards, Jody
