Carol I Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) Is this piece exposed at the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum in Vienna? I think that the uniform is the emperor's one, because of the "Kriegsmedaille 1873" worn with the reverse as the visible side. Best wishes, Enzo Yes, Enzo, it is Franz Joseph's badge in the Museum of Military History in Vienna. Edited February 21, 2015 by Carol I 1
Carol I Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 One badge in the case of issue and with the award certificate (from the museum in Hohensalzburg Castle)
larsb001 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Nice! My humble contribution could be a small sized diamond set badge, either a large miniature or a prinzen size, enjoy! Edited August 6, 2016 by larsb001
paul wood Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Lars, I am pleased that you were successful in acquiring the piece. A real beautie. Paul
Utgardloki Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 The extraordinary neck decoration of Fürst Karl Anselm von Thurn und Taxis (1733-1805) sold by Gloria von Thurn und Taxis in 1992 and now owned by Antonio Spada lown to the Musée de la Légion d'honneur in Paris:
paul wood Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 IRemember the t&t fleeces. There was:a gorgeous emerald set jewel i could not see a fault in the emerald under ×8 magnification. There were also some glorious 18th century neck badges with dragon suspensions. The palace was something else. I was there with the wine, book and coach specialists hence a few thick morning heads It was an educational experience i will never forget. Paul

Paul Interestting, do you have pictures of the other fleeces? Another brilliant fleece was sold last year during the Bourbon-Parma auction at Sothebys (for ca. 1.500.000€) It was owned by Louis-Antoine de Bourbon, Duc d’Angoulême and Comte de Marnes (1775-1844) 1
paul wood Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Alas only a few were included in the sothebys t&t sale. The bruiser illustrated in the earlier post was included in a sothebys geneva jewellery sale. Paul
Utgardloki Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 I know this isn't a t&t one, it is a Bourbon-Parma one sold last year. I was just wondering if there are pictures of the other fleeces sold at the t&t auction back in 1992
Utgardloki Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 (edited) Fleece from Louis XV of France (stolen 1792) with the legendary French Blue Diamond, which was most likely (i think it's already proven but I am not shure) the diamond from which the Hope-Diamond was cut out REPLICA: Edited May 23, 2019 by Utgardloki

Utgardloki Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 (edited) Has anyone ever seen such an enameled collar, similar in design to the neck badges, as this one of Leopold II? Edited July 12, 2019 by Utgardloki
Utgardloki Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 (edited) A diamond fleece, which belonged to Moritz Graf Dietrichstein, it can be seen at the Tallinn Museum of Orders of Knighthood The one labeled with number 1 is also a magnificent piece as it was the property of no one less than Metternich Edited July 16, 2019 by Utgardloki
