bryansk1959 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Hello everyone.I ask to express the opinion about this medal bar.If I am not mistaken it a prussian officer medal bar.Why then Mecklenburg-Schwerin cross is ahead of the Prussian awards?Your opinion on originality?Thanks.Alexander.
Chris Boonzaier Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I am not sure why they are mounted in that order but with the ribbon bars it looks very convincing indeed!!
redeagleorder Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I am not sure why they are mounted in that order but with the ribbon bars it looks very convincing indeed!! What's wrong with the order of mounting?
bryansk1959 Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Unless Crown Order shouldn't hang ahead Mecklenburg-Schwerin cross?
dedehansen Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Hello Alexander, the order of mounting the medals is right. First the military awarded medals and then the civilian once. Regards Andreas
Dave Danner Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 The bar is post-1934, so Prussian precedence rules wouldn't apply, although many veterans still followed them. Under precedence rules in the Third Reich, peacetime awards all came after the Honor Cross for Combatants.
bryansk1959 Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Thanks for active and very interesting discussion,Crown orden and a cross in 25 years of service likely is received even before war.
ixhs Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 for me one of the last version of the DA25 so it could be awarded till after the war (~ 1920)
