Chris Boonzaier Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Hi, An "Übergrosse" Fetisch!! Nice crosses! I forget, has the maker been identified? Best Chris
Paul R Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 That is an one of a kind collection. Did the Germans really use these to make field wear Knights Crosses?
Chris Boonzaier Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Did the Germans really use these to make field wear Knights Crosses? I think that theory has been buried
Paul R Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I remembered it being bounced around a few years ago. I did not see how it ended. Great to see that there was final resolution.
Robin Lumsden Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Nice! Mine is in here, somewhere. I seem to recall that those 'in the know' identified the unmarked Uebergrosse maker as Frank & Reif.
Stuka f Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Super! I am not that focused on EK's, but I got one. On page 74 and 75 of the book I ordered, regarding the collection.
saschaw Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Did the Germans really use these to make field wear Knights Crosses? For field made Iron Crosses, EK2 were used - in general those handy. That might also have been an oversized crosses - but not necessarily. Anyone who is in the need of a nice example might check my shop, I'm having one offered at the moment.
