Guest Darrell Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 3. EK2 Spange. Got this little guy from Detlev a few years back. I was pleasently surprised when I started looking a little closer, that he was actually maker marked L/13 on the reverse;a.
Guest Darrell Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 A picture of the elusive maker mark. Very tough to hold back the ribbon and take a picture. Especially with these old shaky hands
Richard Gordon Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 DarrellNice group of spanges. The screw-back is superb! Is this a particular area of focus for you?Rich
Guest Darrell Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Thanks guys. It "was" a focus a while back. Not anymore. I have gotten away from TR, but shall return one day I'm sure.
ksg Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Side maker marking:Nice collection Darrell !! Interesting HB Mayer carton. Quite different from the one I posted some time ago.Kjell
Jim R Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I just received this beautiful set, the spange is a Juncker 2nd model. The chain was put together by Godet and the Schiesler Eagle is stamped Godet 935.
gregM Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 That's the first chain I have seen with the spange/Ek done like that. I like it.
azyeoman Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Very nice bar and so nice that's it has the tailor's label too.
Jim R Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 This is a prinzen spange with square 5, thoughts on this one? [attachmentid=46684] [attachmentid=46685] EKhunter, both of your spanges are known fakes. Jim
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 This was a system I am surprised was not adopted... the splints are not cut in two, rather soldered on as a loop... the advantage is, you can sew one side of the ribbon on, and just slide this on... then pin other side, then easily remove...
Jim R Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Chris, Meybauer is the only one that did this and they are hard to find. Jim
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 For Jims Spangen, check out this thread!! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/6634-post-your-ek2-spangen/page-4
