Chris Boonzaier Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 This is the first miniature chain I have ever owned.... it is so cool it almost makes me want to collect them!
dedehansen Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Hi Chris, very nice, thank´s for sharing. Regards Andreas
Claudio Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Nice! It could have been worn by a junior officer pilot of the Pasha 300 Fliegerabteilung...
Chris Boonzaier Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 Hi, it was pointed out to me that a pilot would have had a pilot badge on the chain, or would that have been more of the WW2 era thing? Navy would have been another posibility. Unfortunately I am unable to get a name for the winner.
Wild Card Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 What a nice start to a mini collection. Congratulations Wild Card

Congratulations Wild Card Hi, I will be trading it sometime in the future, I cannot afford to add another branch to the collection, it is hard enough to stay on a straight line as it is! ;-)
Wild Card Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 How well I know, these little guys can really get to you. I once felt the same way, but now, forty years later, I'm still hooked. How I wish that I could find that straight line again.
Chris Liontas Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 I thought pilot badges were a WW2 thing on chains. Did they place them on chains in WW1??? Ok you're making me go upstairs and read references......again.....she's going to be mad...
Stogieman Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Chris, Beautiful addition to the collection. Not all pilots had minis of their badges, I've seen chains with them and without. Beautiful and thanks for sharing!
Claudio Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Some Badges and pocket pin awards (like IC 1st class) were worn on the tuxedo in full scale size with miniatures chains...
