laurentius Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 (edited) Dear fellow collectors, I recieved this evening a lovely medalbar, consisting of an EK2, LS, HH, and an Austrian golden meritcross. It's in a great condition, and it has a lovely orangish/brownish backing. Am I mistaken when I say that this combination was likely for Naval personnel serving in the Mediterranean front? Kind regards, Laurentius Edited October 2, 2019 by laurentius
1812 Overture Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Really beautiful, very cute! The back "U" shape is also perfect PS: Do you also collect all kinds of German medal bars?
laurentius Posted October 3, 2019 Author Posted October 3, 2019 Dear 1812 Overture, I only collect German medalbars connected to WW1. I usually stay away from medalbars with WW2 awards or other decorations like Freikorps for example. Kind regards, Laurentius
VtwinVince Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Beautiful Schnalle, and not so common with the AH FJ.
1812 Overture Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 So, will you collect the bar with the Hindenburg Medal of Medal Bar? Contrary to you, I like to collect the World War II medal bars that I participated in in World War I. I think we can see some of this people's experiences. .
