Nicolas7507 Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Hello! Although, I dont really like buttonhole miniatures that much , this combination was just so nice I had to get it. I would love to hear your opinion about this piece! No LS or any jubilee medals on this one. Best regards, Nicolas
P.F. Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Most impressive Nicolas. I like it. Kind regards, Pierce
JasonA Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Agreed. I don't pick these up either, likely for similar reasons. But this is a very nice one, Nicolas. Well done and great score to supplement your collection! ? J-
Nicolas7507 Posted November 7, 2019 Author Posted November 7, 2019 Pierce and Jason, Thank you very much for your kind comments. It is much appreciated. Best regards, Nicolas
VtwinVince Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 That is a cool one, with multiple orders, and from Godet. What's not to like?
Nicolas7507 Posted November 10, 2019 Author Posted November 10, 2019 Hi Simi, It is the Hamburger Hanseatenkreuz. Best regards, Nicolas
Nicolas7507 Posted November 12, 2019 Author Posted November 12, 2019 Thank you very much, Simi. I was hoping, that it could be ID'ed, as there are award rolls for all awards, except for the HH and the EK. Best regards, Nicolas
Nicolas7507 Posted December 11, 2020 Author Posted December 11, 2020 I have done quite some research, but sadly no ID yet. I would greatly appreciate any ideas regarding this piece. All the Best, Nicolas
VtwinVince Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 It's for sure a highly decorated junior officer, so not likely to be identified, but a great combination of awards. 1
Wild Card Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Gentlemen, just have to ask. I am going on the assumption that the White Falcon award is represented by the (solid) red ribbon which is located just forward of what has been identified as a Hamburger Hanseatenkreuz. Since I think that it is safe to say that our recipient was a Bavarian, is it not possible that the red ribbon might represent a Bavarian Prinzregent Luitpold medal? Just wondering, Wild Card
CRBeery Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Looks like it’s on eBay with some fresh paint on the EKs.
Wild Card Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I am going to try to repost my previous comment which, for some reason came through blacked out. Just wondering, Wild Card It very well could be. The order of precedence is not what I would expect so a red ribbon could even be something Austrian as he has a couple “southern” awards.

I got mine last year from eBay and remember that a couple month later the same buttonhole miniature was offered again. At first I thought, that someone was using the eBay photos of my example, but there are small differences. i think there are 2 buttonhole minitarures with this combination out there.
CRBeery Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Not yours? That means there are two of these out there and they would be to the same person. Rare chance to put items back together.
