paul wood Posted April 12, 2023 Share Posted April 12, 2023 The most likely answer is Afghanistan, North West Frontier 1919, many poor devils from British units stationed in India at the time of the Armistice had their demob delayed to to enjoy the delights of the North West Frontier (either baking hot or freezing cold and with a murderous bunch of locals who lived by the code "My enemy's enemy is my friend".
