Guest Rick Research Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Good plan! We started off with the few items we had all in ONE thread thinking nobody else would care... Divided up BY AWARD seems the best way to expand!
Ed_Haynes Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) Good idea. Or do we need a Mongolian sub-forum??Here's an A.20 [T.1]. Edited December 20, 2005 by Ed_Haynes

Bob Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Screwback number 559 has now found a loving home as well:)Curious as to who was awarded this one of course
Stogieman Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I like the earlier versions of this Order much better than the "currently awarded' ones. The difference in quality and workmanship is quite striking.
Vatjan Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 Screwback number 559 has now found a loving home as well:)Curious as to who was awarded this one of courseWell, Brezhnev got 558, so who knows????
Ed_Haynes Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Someplace, there have to be registers of numbers and names and dates. No one numbers things without recording who got what.Someday . . . ????
Ed_Haynes Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Just as a link to Yuri Yashnev's site on ОРДЕН СУХЭ-БАТОРА:http://www.netdialogue.com/yy/Asia/Mongoli...RSucheBator.htm
Ed_Haynes Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Just in a really, really nasty all-brass (and plastic) SB. I fear this may be what is being awarded now. Unnumbered (happily, so it can never besmirch anyone's good name).
Ed_Haynes Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Just to ompare the two, as I happened to have some things home visiting. Compare #158 with #nothing. Sic transit . . . well, you know the plot-line.
Dolf Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 And now my Pinback, S/N 2006 (probably the highest I've seen!)I notice Jan already posted a pic of the reverse above, anyway here it goes, both sides.Obverse:Dolf
Vatjan Posted February 21, 2006 Author Posted February 21, 2006 (edited) Could anyone transliterate the name of this SB order recipient? ??? Donoin Luvsansharav???I had quite a shock when I saw this doc, I thought it matched up with mine, but alas...mine is 1483 not 1473. Well, at least I know now that mine was issued between 26 june 1981 (n? 1473) and 9 july 1981 (n? 1491) Jan Edited February 21, 2006 by vatjan
Stogieman Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 A very nice T2 just went off in Germany for over 1100-Euro... just about right in line with dealer pricing on these.
fjcp Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I just did a search on Ebay.de but I couldn't find the listing anywhere...Would you happen to have the item number?I know there is one ending on the Austrian ebay in 8 hours or so... a type2 serial# 1002.It's at 1070 euros as I'm typing this.I asked the seller for better pictures but I'm still not happy about the enamel on the banner, it just looks too flat (not shiny). Might just be a bad picture though but who knows.
