    1. Search again the monument on your photos is not as massive as that of Milano . the Brindisi Monument was neglected many years and recently was restaurated
    2. Brindisi ,Monumento ai Caduti della Prima Guerra Mondiale. that is the Monument to the fallen in WW1 . Why ? because it looks as it. the Germans are of the Afrika Korps just arrived by the Uniforms . Brindisi was one of the Ports for the shipment of troops to Africa .

Its clear what Nach Ersatz mean in military, but why existed ? well among the Draftees each year were those who in the Phisical and mental exams resulted as fit for all service , others were not so high qualified a third Group were those with deficient aptitudes but not handicapped and finally those who resulted Unfit for any service . normally only those FaS were recruited either first or second class aptitudes , those DPA were not recruited and of course the UFAS also were not . Hello, Carol I stated clearly that the Romanian awards after the country turned against Germany (and Hungary ) were the same as before the 24th August 1944 because Romania remained a Monarchy and with her Army ; Navy and Air Force without changes . that was until December 30 of 1947 when King Michael I was forced to abdicate .     20. Hello Cathy , first of all Mr William Brown enlisted in th Army in 1860 and remained in service until 1881 , a life in the Army. but , in which Regiment or Corp he enlisted ? To enlist in the Army Hospital Corps were required two or three years of previous service and then a probatory period of six months ,once approved you compromises to serve three years in active and another three in reserve . the uniform on the photo dont fits with any uniform used by either the Medical Staff Corps or the Army Hospital Corps . appears as khaki in colour but not khaki drill , the cuffs , collar and piping on the front of the tunic were probably blue , the same the hungarian knots over the cuffs , over the right one is barely visible the round bage with the Geneva Cross , regarding the buttons , the AHC carried large buttons gilded and 25mm in diameter
