Thanks, Bob. That exceeds, by a thousand, the previously recorded high. I did get the sense, when I was in UB, from what I saw but could not understand on TV, that the mommy order was still being awarded, as new recipients were being interviewed on the TV news.

Make the range for the Second Class Order of Mother Heroine an observed low of 179876 and a high of 211334. There is some overlap with Type 2.1, with a range of 170577/197624 (suggesting the enamel color means nothing with the pinback 2nd class).

Hallo, I want to show my Mother Heroine Order Books

I only have two complete with the matching order but I have some books only, and maybe it would be interesting to

se the numbers and award dates.

    First : 2nd class 3038 awarded 1961, photo missing

    Second : 2nd class 4121 awarded 1958 , photo missing

Thanks for these. The only way we stand ANY chance of getting solid serial number sequences linked to dates is with such documents. And you even have some with photos! :jumping: Hard to find these booklets, in particular, with photos intact, as most families strip off what may be the only photo they have of Mom before selling them.

Hi Ed, Yes I suppose it was not common to take pictures in the 50?s or 60?s in Mongolia.

So I understand they want to keep their photos. But of course the collector in me gets happy everytime one turns up!

    Here is three more Documents

1: 84187 2nd class awarded 1973, who do you think signed theese order books?

2: 132425 2nd class issued 1981 and 45507 1st class in 1985 to the same woman, if only I had the orders :banger:

Well, something to look for in years to come...

What do you guys think of this one????

:violent: $500 a little much????? :banger:

I think it's a nice looking one, the best looking enamel I've seen on these but I think Barry put some numbers on his wall and used some darts to determine the price...

    Cheers.
