    3. Thanks Bob and the Ricks ...much appreciated! Yes it is in fantastic condition,in fact it looks far better in the hand than it does on the scan. To all those that PMed me,I'll contact you in order of PM's received Cheers Dave
    4. Hello all, I was hoping to put this Red Cross medal bar up for sale but wanted to check that it is "ok" As I am a complete novice with Imperial awards,I am hoping for some help from the Imperialites!! Any info will be greatly appreciated...bad or good! Cheers Dave [attachmentid=19780]
    5. Yep my 57 case is a WW2 issue, inside it has the bone glue and is embossed with K.B.621 and the usual pencilled number. Dave
    6. Yep I also have one with a 57er EK1 and I have an LDO Halbetui. Only pic I have got for the 57. Dave [attachmentid=19691]
    7. I would also agree that it looks like a good Deumer but as the others have said, sharper pics would definitely be helpful. Dave
    8. Very nice Don....I think you have a whole panzer armee there Dave
    9. I can't find the thread, can you post a link to it please Stijn? I've looked at all my W&L's and none have the blob,I thought I had one as well Here is one of mine non blob W&L's. Dave [attachmentid=18961]
    10. I'm sure there was a thread on WAF about these blobs on certain W&L EK's,can't find it though I'll check all my W&L's tomorrow and see if I have any blobs. Dave
    11. Cheers for posting your cases Allan ...have you got a Schinkel EK2 in one of those cases? Dave
    12. Terry, can you post a pic of a TR cross in the case please? Does the ribbed beading of a TR cross sit in the recess and is the flange flush on the flock?...if you know what I mean I think that is how the EK is meant to sit in that style case, just the ribbed beading and not the whole cross. That's probably why an Imperial EK won't fit in correctly,it's beading is too small for the recess and its flange is too big....so I would say the case is for a TR EK....just my opinion of course! Dave
    13. It's fake, send it back to that crook Tony...he's robbed you!! Only joking, nothing wrong with the case at all I've seen '14 crosses in them and '39s but mostly TR,I think Allan has a few of that type case with TR EK's inside. Dave
    14. Also in the tin was a dogtag, can any info be gleaned from this? Dave [attachmentid=18194]
    15. Hello all, Yesterday I bought a tea ration tin off an old KSLI veteran and inside contained a small lot of U-boat badges and insignia, also in the tin was this small plastic badge...it has holes I presume for it to be sewn on to something.Anyone know if it's U-boat related? Cheers Dave [attachmentid=18192] Here is the tin and contents. [attachmentid=18193]
    16. Very nice ...lovely crisp cross with an unusual(to me anyway) mount! Dave
    17. I've read that as well Jim mate! Dave
    18. I believe that both styles of hinge are considered wartime and as David says the thin 57 type is the postwar version. Dave
    19. Here Bill check this link out,it shows the other style hinge http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/iron_cross...s/l_58/l_58.htm Dave
    20. I think Souval had two style of hinges Bill,I'm not 100% on that as I don't collect Souvals.....I'll check. Dave
    21. Here is one I once owned. Dave [attachmentid=17744]
    22. Yep true, although the core has the usual small 1939. Dave
    23. Hello David, The cross is made by Rudolf Souval. Cheers Dave
    24. Very nice Don and yes you are right, that type of eagle was used for Heer and KM while the Luftwaffe had their own flying eagle. Dave
