    14. I have a Lee Metford with the following unit stamp 5 M.B.F.T. 9 My guess was "Mounted Bridage.." but taht is not a Boer war designation I know... where else could it have been? Maybe a small WW1 Unit? "5th Mounted Brigade F.T. (whatever FT is) then (weapon) 9 " ?
    15. This little QE2 Gem.... for a soldier of the 14-18 war. I suppose the family were able to make a case....

    19. I was looking for this post... I just read something really interesting in a book written by a german soldier fighting in the Argonne. He said they made Wicklegamaschen by shortening their greatcoats, leaving them with a Tunic/Greatcoat Hybrid. It made me think of this old thread....
