Very nice indeed, especially the home made addition. I have had a couple like that myself. Sometimes people forget, money was tight back then. Where my wifes Grandfather was a doctor in the 1950s, the village had no tarred road, people payed the doctors bill wit vegetables and chickens sometimes.... Its no wonder some folks mounted their own medals!!

NCO and enlisted men who ONLY had prussian awards at the end of the war... Would be interested in how different tailors mounted these...

The medals of Gefreiter Josef Fischer, 12th Company 12. b.I.R. Fischer fought with the regiment from the first day of the war. On the 5th of April 1918 he became seriously ill and was sent to the rear. http://www.kaiserscross.com/41815/112201.html

It was a nice group to own. When I initially bought it the only reference I had for the Germanic Sport badge was Formann, and his book said it was unknown if a doc had ever existed... so i was pretty chuffed to get it...

Start of with an unusual one.... Festungs Infanterie Bataillon 1409 , formed in August of 1944 and fought in Holland... dounle signed because they had no stamp...
