    1. What's a fair price for a Gaunt RFC wing these days? Cloth one too? Thanks much, Rick
    2. I have always had a problem when these sorts of "issues" arise.... while the eventuality of post 1925 is a horrific period in history I have never understood the (IMO) morbid fascination with identifying brave officers and enlisted men from Germany's earlier history simply by virtue of their religious affiliations...... For me, the religion of these men is irrelevent, as is their social status, etc. I guess I would have made a poor Teutonic Aristocrat. Ma famille est FRAINCH anyway.......
    3. Well, I've seen that bar before.... but he has never shown me the back! Shocked!!
    4. No-one noticed my badge........ well here's a copy of the one I posted from Germany.
    5. I concur, I saw the piece and the bar and it was a gorgeous, honest example. Worth every pfenning he asked.
    6. But it is always the "simple" errors that tell people these are wrong. I will leave it at that.
    7. Lots and lots of examples around of 2,3,4 and more. All woven as one! Hard to find, but out there. Just sold a 2-place bar with EK2/Anhalt FK2
    8. If it's real, it will be only the third I've seen and I used to collect strictly St. henry Order......... It would have been an 1866 award. Very rare, almost impossible to put a value on it.
    9. Actually, the undies were pretty cute......... "Tighty-Whities" that the guy drew an Iron cross on the butt with magic marker!! I can see replacing something that was lost with an original. But it must be noted as an "add-on". Anything else does constitute fraud.
    10. Selling this to him seemed a small consolation to me snoring in his office while he made scans.......
    11. Ha! Walked away from a 3.Cl. today... looked exactly like this, only "newer". These were made when? Go figure, walked into the "local show" to see one person who might have had one badge......... he didn't set-up this month......
    12. It's a shame that RAO has been damaged and the ribbon of the GOR is as well. A rather interesting bar and nice pinpointing of the ID Rick!
    13. This looks fine to me as well. A Leutnant might have received the EK2/AOR2wX only......... mustered out and then the HKwX as a "participant" 16 years later. Remember, not everyone stayed in after the armistice
    14. Nice models with some very nice detail. Thanks!
    15. Chris looks like generic WW1. That's old Bill & Franz Josef (Austria) in the vignettes.
    16. I think that's one of the nicer Rothe EK's I've seen in a very long time....
    17. Hi Stijn, this was a nice group at auction and also nice that he kept (most) of it together. The "2 in 1" with the EK2/Albert Order is tough to find ribbon. Congrats on a very nice little group!
