    1. I think he's a nice guy who just carried away a bit. I still buy from him when he has the right piece and would still recommend him via the website. Sometimes, you'll find some very nice items here!
    2. Hi Mike, no, they don't publish that stuff, but it's easy to figure out. His other user ID was "Chingisron, registered in the same town. The only thing Chingisron ever bid on was the one (same) guy's stuff!
    3. Lots of nice things. He was suspended by ebay for "shill" bidding but currently sells under another ebay name claiming to be in "Alexandria, Virginia". The site had some glitches in navigation earlier, but seem to have been corrected.
    4. Hi Rod. To clean, or Not to clean. The age old question. Soft hair brushes, a photographer's lens brush (with the air reservoir), "Canned air"... I don't think I'd go much past that. Enameled surfaces can react strangely and possibly be damaged if you attempt to use any kind of cleaning fluid/cleanser on it. The Bavarian Military Merit Order, with it's exceptional deep blue enamel, is a beautiful piece from The Imperial German era and one you can be proud to own. Here's an example of the red case Rod is talking about. The Red ones are actually a bit harder to find than the blue!
    5. Micha. very nice. Yet another that doesn't look very comfortable to wear!!
    6. The Twin & I were just discussing these this past week so I wanted to bump this back up to the top. The Booklet on this is pretty outrageous and I have yet to see any other like it surface!!
    7. Hi Stijn, classic Bruno Schneider, right down to the cracks by the rivets!! Very nice!
    8. Hi Don, I think when we're discussing "damaged goods" there's no reason to be concerned about posting a link. This discussion may have just saved you from buying a questionable bar...
    9. I really wonder sometimes how they managed to move without clanging. I cannot imagine it being real comfortable to have that many screws poking into your skin!!!
    10. Excellent. That should level the playing field and give people a better chance to get what should have stayed together... don't suppose he chatted about that at all??
    11. PS: OUTSTANDING Thread and some superb examples of some very rare pieces here to study! David, the Baden piece is stunning.
    12. Note that Dave Danner's Gold SHM is probably a spangenstuch in silver or bronze and gilded. The Gold SHM was issued only in gold, then very briefly (under 100) in bronze gilt during WW1. No mas. Here's an example of a gold one that was stripped off a medal bar and sold loose.... (may they rot in hades forever)
