    1. Seems that given the rather endless variations on these one could make an entire collection of these academy badges alone! Although Ed has posted up quite a few I have not seen offered anywhere yet!! Nice stuff!
    2. Congratulations WC, It's always a good thing when things come back together. I respect anyone who does this and encourage all to work when and where they can to re-unite groups or keep them together when others are splitting them. And a very rare medal to boot!
    3. Hmmmm, didn't even rock her wheels back.
    4. I'd have to agree with Ed...... Not sure who this guy is yet, but he only bids on Mongolian. Frankly, in the end, it will not surprise me if all of these guys are connected somehow....
    5. As an aside....... Dolf has some very nice examples of some early badges at very reasonable prices on our sales forum!!
    6. Yes, and somebody made him a fast offer and he took it. Which was foolish as I'm sure the bids would have gone mush higher than whatever under the table offer he took.
    7. Nice group Ralph. I saw you bidding and let it be. Too bad on the document, they're pretty hard to find. Nice to see the rest of it still together!
    8. Nice booklet Rick. I haven't seen one of these yet. Very nice indeed.
    9. Yep, and I was warned also to stay away from UK based "groups". Like many other things, this stuff has circulated around the market now and pops up on both sides of the pond. Hence yet again forcing collectors to have to scrutinize every little detail, accept nothing at face value and make everyone's life just a little more absurd....
    10. Hi Chet, nice stickpins! The ribbon-bar style has become very hard to find. My congratulations on discerning such small pieces out of the mass of stuff at SOS!
    11. I've always found this one to be a bit curious. Quite beautiful, but just doesn't seem to garner much "collector interest"??
    12. Hi Ed, several things on there I have not seen on bars before. The 40 Year Lenin Medal for one. What are the two on red ribbons at the end of his third (!!) Medal bar?
    13. Neat little bar to an Officer Joe. Not a Vet's piece I've seen before!
    14. Nice bar Heiko. A tough cross to find mounted in a group. Unusual that he had nothing else W?rttemberg, but it looks fine nonetheless!
    15. Excellent point Dave............. things should really matchup pretty well!
    16. Thanks for helping out Dave! I'm in & out this AM, didn't have time to search for a link. Thanks!!
    17. Hi Dolf... a search through the Soviet award forum will get you some examples of WW2 Russian Orders, awarded to US Military personnel... Look for threads/posts by NavyFCO. I believe a search by that user name will get you there too!
    18. Yeah, right! Coming to a public auction venue near you soon! Be the first (of thousands more to come) to own this "rare" little "gem".
    19. Well, I can certainly understand that. IMO, one of the most beautiful of the Mongolian awards, this diminutive little gem is.
    20. Very hard to find piece, especially represented on a feldspange, or ordensspange. I wonder sometimes how often this ribbon is mistaken for a Brunswick HO when there are no swords on the ribbon!?
