    1. Your guess is as good as mine: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.de/Orden-Baltische-Staaten-Huguenin-Freres-Co-Suisse_W0QQitemZ6254338907QQcategoryZ15506QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.de/Orden-Baltische-Staaten...1QQcmdZViewItem</a> One of the more unusual pieces I've seen floating around!
    2. Interesting photographs and interesting website. The French uniforms really "stick-out" against the background and must have made (unfortunately) good targets in daylight.
    3. I tried to find them again and could not. I believe this is because in germany, the "Privacy Laws" prevent people from looking at completed items unless you're directly involved.
    4. I'm sorry, a quick question. Does anybody have any photos of US soldiers actually wearing Soviet era awards??
    5. I thought the '85 boxes had a picture on the lid, but did not know if perhaps they did something different for "foreigners". Pretty darn spiffy set!
    6. Very beautiful Chuck. Usual high-quality workmanship!
    7. Another really complete and interesting group Dave. Thanks for sharing it with us!! I'm encouraged to see such complete groups out there. Gives a whole new dimension to the word "group"!
    8. Hi Bob, all retired pilot badges from WW1 are "cut-out".... it's the pilot badge itself that is in the extreme when one shows up "cut-out'.... Fortunately the "trophy boys" have a new supplier of laser-cut copies of the cut-out pilot badge. They're fake, but the usual buyers are gulping them up for stupid money! ;>)
    9. Made me forget what I wanted to say.... I've only had a couple of these that IMO were legit. Both bore the full Wagner marks. I have never seen one with moon/crown/800 only. Can anybody show an example with only these marks?
    10. Now that's an exceptionally interesting photograph! Thanks Brian!
    11. No Type 2 "Internal Ministry" egg? Igor just raised his prices on these again... His pricing policy leaves me totally baffled!
    12. Hi Chuck, I agree with the out of regs things, but it may have been nmore common than we think. That NKVD uniform I had in the pipeline bears a suspicious shadow on the left breast that is small enough/right shape to maybe be an egg there as well.
    13. Sorry, starting with a tiny portrait to begin with. The bar close-up was 600dpi just to get that. Here's what I see: 1914 EK2 Hohenzollern House Order, RKwX Saint Henry RK Verdiebst Order RK2wX Albert Order, RK1wX Albert Order, RK2wX BMVO4wX ???? ???? He's wearing a very minty/frosted Retired Pilot Badge!
    14. PS. Love the Max von Sidow avatar! He nay have played 'to type" a lot, but he was darn good at it!
    15. Hi Richie, the uniform is at RR's house for now. Will get back to you on the chinstrap. But yes, the breeches have a proper brick-red piping down the sides.
    16. Congratulations Daniel! Can you lay this out with abbreviations-orders for the many who haven't memorized all the abbreviations? Nice work!! (And congrats to WC!)
    17. Ed, just wonderful. These pieces are each beautiful in their own right...... but as a "group" display..... breathtaking. PS: Check the Mongolian Forum thread with photos "in wear".... there's Choibalsan wearing a type 1 Interior Ministry Badge!!!
    18. Nice photo Lingqi! Welcome to The Forum!!!!! That's a very interesting and unique combination of awards that Choibalsan has chosen to wear for this meeting..... If I'm not mistaken, that looks like a Type 1 State Security/Ministry of The Interior Badge way up top of his "patch"....
    19. Nice group-shots Ed and an impressive start to Mongolian. Very cool. 2 Sukhbatar Orders to one man/woman!??? Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
