    1. I enjoy colouring outdoors scenes. Here is another I did some time ago.
    2. Nice work Alex. I have not done many colourisations lately. Here is an old one. Cheers, Larry
    3. I agree, he joined the Party at an early age. Obviously he is too young to be a WW1 vet. He wears numbers for Infantry Regiment 116 on his shoulder tabs so 1935 would be too early as this regiment was not formed until 1936. Looks like he is wearing an M35 tunic though. So 1936 -37 would be my guess when the photo was taken. Cheers, Larry
    4. Nice photo. I would say they are father, mother and son. The Obergefreiter could be a WW1 vet. Can't see his medal bar properly but he's wearing the KM artillery Mechanic trade specialist badge. Another GPB worn on a Heer uniform. Cheers, Larry
    5. Wonderful Political Leader photos also showing matched set of GPBs in wear. I see he is also wearing a 1929 Nurnberg Party Day Badge. Very nice! Cheers, Larry
    6. Hi Morten, Thanks for your nice comments. Please post your photo. Photos of this badge don't come up for sale very often as only the first 100,000 people to join the NSDAP received one. Here is a photo of Wilhelm Krieper (left) with his brother Rupert. Wilhelm is wearing ribbons for EK 2, Ost Medal, a Golden Party Badge, EK 1 and LW Ground Assault badge. Cheers, Larry
    7. Hi, Just added this nice photo to my wedding portrait collection. It shows a Political Leader, his bride and a Flower Girl. He is wearing a matched set of Golden Party Badges. This is not seen very often as wearing the complete set on a uniform was against regulations. Does anyone else have GPB in wear photos, if so please post them here. Cheers, Larry
    8. Very nice Paul. Do you know what administrative branch the colour of the tabs denotes. I have a few LW admin portraits but it is next to impossible to know what branch they served in when looking at B&W photos. Cheers, Larry
    9. Unfortunately I have not seen any inter-war MG's in Australia. Here is another photo showing a couple of MG's on a dune at Dunkirk. Cheers, Larry
    10. Nice photos guys. Here's a couple from my collection. Cheers, Larry
    11. The only HJ Marine portrait in my collection. Cheers, Larry
    12. I stand corrected. Should have looked at the pips on his shoulder straps. Cheers, Larry
    13. I recently picked up this photo of three early NSDAP Political Leader brownshirts. All three were also members of the NSBO. Cheers, Larry
    14. Hi Jock, A.V.T. = Art. Verm. Tr Artillerievermessungstrupp or Artillery Survey Detachment. See: http://usacac.army.mil/cac2/cgsc/carl/wwIIspec/number12.pdf Cheers, Larry
    15. When I bought this photo the cap tally was described as "Werftstammabteilung." On close inspection I am not so sure. Was there such a tally? There does seem to be an "ft" just before stammabteilung but it is inconclusive. Cheers, Larry
    16. Recent addition to my collection. Langermass is a street in Cologne. Was there a bunker there? They wear cloth LSW caps, sanitats and SHD arm bands. Some of their belt buckles look to be unstamped. Cheers, Larry
    17. Members of Flak Rgt. 11 share a joke. Obergefreiter Haschem is at right. Cheers, Larry
    18. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Here is a photo showing reversible quilted winter jackets being worn. Obergefreiter Arthur Haschem is in the middle. Photo taken at Orel. Cheers, Larry
    19. Thanks Guys, much appreciated. Here is another series from the album. Caption says: "Vormarsch Mingsts - Briangst." I guess that translates as "Advance from Minsk to Briansk." Photos show scenes of recent fighting with burning villages, villages being bombed, vehicles and troops of Flak Rgt. 11 waiting until bombing is over before moving on. Cheers, Larry
