photographs Multi Uniform Portraits
LarryT replied to Odulf's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Research, Documentation & Photographs
Hi, Definitely TeNo. Uniform was dark blue and the uniform looks to be from the early-mid 1930s. His rank I believe is Vormann. Here is a similar tunic photo. Credit for photo goes to "harrah de" http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253028&page=6 Cheers, Larry -

Nice portraits. The father ans son holding hands is nice. Looks like the father is wearing a TeNo uniform? Cheers, Larry -
Hi Paul, Here are two rare photos which don't come under any of your LW chapters, Both I would say belong in the "Auxiliary Formations of the Luftwaffe" chapter. Pic one: Luftwaffe Technische Nothilfe (TeNo). Pic two: Insignia is the wing for Fliegerisch Tatigen Angestellen der Luftwaffe. Most often they were civilian pilots and wireless operators who specialised in training and instruction. Functions were: Flugbetriebsleiter and Flugzeugfuhrer. They were active in the Luftdienstverband, a LW unit which was in charge of docking large flying boats. They cooperated closely with personnel of the Flugsicherungsschiffe. Personnel often came from commercial airlines such as Lufthansa. Cheers, Larry
