    1. Hi bifter, Alex is correct, you need more posts to become a full member and to be able to view the fakes-section. As an alternative you can buy a suscription and get full acess (plus more upload-space, etc...) immediately. Welcome to the forum regards, Gerd
    2. Just to save "SPM" some time, here is part two: 7 = Preussen, Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse 8 = Schaumburg-Lippe, Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse 9 = Braunschweig, Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse 10 = Bayern, Milit?r-Verdienst-Kreuz 3. Klasse mit Schwertern 11 = Oldenburg, Friedrich August-Kreuz 2. Klasse best, Gerd
    3. Indeed! Interesting thing is, that its one of the very last awarded HSU?s and the number is just 17 numbers under the highest known number.
    4. Here is a Berlin document, i got in yesterday together with a beautiful mint medal. Can someone help with the correct name and maybe also the unit of this gentlemen? Thanks in advance regards, Gerd
    5. Hi David, i?m at the wrong computer currently and don?t have my email-adresses handy. If noone has answered until later, when i am back at home, i?ll send you a pm with the contact. I hope, you let us know the outcome, when your orders are researched... all the best, Gerd
    6. Beautiful piece, Andreas. Do you have seen anything here today, you would trade for it?
    7. Great Research, Bill, as usual. Are there any more Regiments/Armies/Fronts mentioned somewhere? Maybe i can solve the riddle about the 223/233 typo. But i need more info, as both were in the 3rd Ukrainian Front in 1944. Thanks for posting another very nice example
    8. I think, its not impossible, that he indeed got two 1985 OGPW?s, either accidently or maybe they over saw something, when they awarded him the 2nd class and corrected it later by giving him a 1st class. I guess, the 1985 issue OGPW?s were not seen as important enough to demand the 2nd class back. I remember, i have seen groups with two 1985er OGPW?s including their documents once or twice, so i guess, its possible, that he was awarded both classes.
    9. Hi Jens, i think, its a good one. Like Christian said, this is the latest variation made after the war. all the best, Gerd
    10. Its also for me the first time, that i see an Order of Milosh the Great. What a breathtaking award!
    11. This one came in today. My lowest numbered Red Star so far and with the prices now it will probably allways be. Awarded somewhere around Mid 1943. Soon to be researched.
    12. Do you remember Dave looking for Red Stars with s/n over 3.550.000 for research? I guess, this is one of them. And really a very nice one!!!
    13. Great to have a Red Star to a woman and that she was a Doctor, makes it even better. Let?s have a look at her order! Great reseach, thanks for sharing
    14. All awards of the Bavarian St. Michael Order are rare, the Medal is the most "common" from these. But still, the Medal is rare. I have seen maybe 10 of them in groups the last 5 years. Nice bar with the Non-combattant 1870/71 Medal
    15. Sascha, the ribbonbars, you mention, were probably the ones, i have seen. Thats an amazing Medalbar, thanks for the picture. The first one, i have seen on a medalbar. Edit: Wow, i totally missed the Prussian Lifesaving Medal next to it. Did Hauptmann von Grone get both for the same lifesaving-act or for two different? best, Gerd
    16. Very nice bars, Rick. How many of the Bruswick Lifesaving-Medals do you have seen on ribbonbars? I have maybe seen two or three in 5 years and one or two real medals. Do you have a picture of a Medal mounted on a medalbar? Gerd
    17. These are both not painted ones, but the ones with plastic ribbons! The colors are just great (my scanner doesn?t show it properly) ,i?ll try to make a good photo in better light tomorrow. Yes, indeed its an 1985 Jubilee 1st class on the second one, didn?t think about that. Thanks! Still, would love to know more about this fellow... Why didn?t they think about a better solution of the the precendence of the Stalingrad/Leningrad-Partisan 1st/2nd class medals Would love to know, if thats a Stalingrad or a Partisan-Medal...
    18. Thank you, Rick. Strangely the "sqares" seem to be rectangular. What is the difference?
    19. Oh, well Thats, why i mostly type all messages in a seperate Editor and copy and paste them over here, when finished.
