Gerd Becker replied to Hyperfocal22's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Hi David, i?m at the wrong computer currently and don?t have my email-adresses handy. If noone has answered until later, when i am back at home, i?ll send you a pm with the contact. I hope, you let us know the outcome, when your orders are researched... all the best, Gerd -

Soviet Order of the Red Star, Nr. 3545566
Gerd Becker replied to Bill Garvy's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Great Research, Bill, as usual. Are there any more Regiments/Armies/Fronts mentioned somewhere? Maybe i can solve the riddle about the 223/233 typo. But i need more info, as both were in the 3rd Ukrainian Front in 1944. Thanks for posting another very nice example -
I think, its not impossible, that he indeed got two 1985 OGPW?s, either accidently or maybe they over saw something, when they awarded him the 2nd class and corrected it later by giving him a 1st class. I guess, the 1985 issue OGPW?s were not seen as important enough to demand the 2nd class back. I remember, i have seen groups with two 1985er OGPW?s including their documents once or twice, so i guess, its possible, that he was awarded both classes.

Soviet Order of the Red Star
Gerd Becker replied to order_of_victory's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
This one came in today. My lowest numbered Red Star so far and with the prices now it will probably allways be. Awarded somewhere around Mid 1943. Soon to be researched. -

Soviet Red Star for medical doctor at the front
Gerd Becker replied to zook's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
Great to have a Red Star to a woman and that she was a Doctor, makes it even better. Let?s have a look at her order! Great reseach, thanks for sharing -
Sascha, the ribbonbars, you mention, were probably the ones, i have seen. Thats an amazing Medalbar, thanks for the picture. The first one, i have seen on a medalbar. Edit: Wow, i totally missed the Prussian Lifesaving Medal next to it. Did Hauptmann von Grone get both for the same lifesaving-act or for two different? best, Gerd

Soviet Plastic Medal Bars
Gerd Becker replied to a topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
These are both not painted ones, but the ones with plastic ribbons! The colors are just great (my scanner doesn?t show it properly) ,i?ll try to make a good photo in better light tomorrow. Yes, indeed its an 1985 Jubilee 1st class on the second one, didn?t think about that. Thanks! Still, would love to know more about this fellow... Why didn?t they think about a better solution of the the precendence of the Stalingrad/Leningrad-Partisan 1st/2nd class medals Would love to know, if thats a Stalingrad or a Partisan-Medal... -
