    1. Very nice bar with a chance of Iding the owner. I think you have a very junior WWI officer who entered service after 1915 and stayed in between the wars. You would need to go through a Reichheer Ranglist and find everone who had the HOH3x and Austrian award only and cross reference to a Luftwaffe Ranglist. It would be time consuming but not too hard.
    2. Claudio, Thank you for taking the time to do this post. I really enjoyed it and I know it is a great deal of work to post all the pictures. Great Job.
    3. Great Job and thanks Alex. The project Alex is refering to is a book that I am writing. In the near future I will do a post about it.
    4. Claudio, Thanks for posting. I was there several years ago and it is very impressive.
    5. Definately not a career officer due to the absences of any long service award. Please name the foreighn awards.
    6. Since he was a Bavarian it was a little easier then if he was a Prussian because Prussian had a much larger army. Chris you need to get the 1914 Army Ranglisten.
    7. With lack of a centennial (1897) and the 40 year LSC this guy must have been in the Reichwehr but I could not find him. It is possible, Alan, you have a 1926 RL give it a look.
    8. My guess is a very junior WWI officer who was called back in 1939, since there is no long service,
    9. The Prussian War Aid medal and no other WWI decoration is tell me some type of official. The China most likely is the steel. Since the Reichwehr ranklists do not give officials, I believe, it will be very hard to find this one.
    10. Very nice. I love the paper and don't understand why more people do not have an interest in it.
    11. It is too hard at this point to comment, but I have lost a mentor, teacher and my friend!
    12. Webr55 you say: They even have his military file from the Archive in Freiburg, not sure if I should post it here. It can be found via the link above. How do you know they have it? Were you able to access it? Do you know if they have the service files of the Kriegsmarine officers? Thank you.
