      sumserbrown, I agree with Bill. It looks fine to me as well(the forefinger protruding from the baton, the bottom of the baton and the headdress all look ok) and it looks in in very good condition. Great purchase, very hard to find. I would love to have one myself.

      sumserbrown, Interesting medals, I have seen the one on the left before as an unofficial medal with a smaller suspension ball. But never the one on the right.

      My Al Valore Militare Silver Navy Medal. This one is from a serviceman on the destroyer R.M. Aquila from the battle of the Strait of Otranto in May 1917. Any comments welcomed:

      Thanks scottplen. Waldo you look pretty close with your prices, the EK2 can have a large price variation depending on the manufacturer, quality and whether it is a cast iron core or stamped steel.

      I hope this is a start. From left to right: 1. War Commemorative Medal of 1870/71 2. Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Medal(Centenary Medal) 3. Prussian Regimental Honour Cross 4. ? 5. ? And a Prussian Landwehr Long Service Award is below medals 3 and 4.

      There is a TWM marked 'PREISSLER PFORZHEIM' up for sale at Bene Merenti's next auction. The enamel is superior quality to what has been shown in this thread so far, the pin looks the same though. Could Preissler be a distributor? Or this one a fake/reproduction?

      sumserbrown, The first could be an Official Type 2, although it is a little worn, which makes it a little difficult to identify. The other two I have never seen before, so not sure about either of them.

      I think the manufacturing mark is 'Vince Mayer & Sons from Vienna', but seeing the medal will help.
