      This one is harder to find than the Schinkle-B. I have only seen one offered and he was selling priced like an EKII. By the time I seen it (5 mins) it was long gone. Jim

      I received this minature yesterday and it will be a fine addition to my EKI screwback collection. It also came with a minature case. These are rare or very difficult to find. Cross measurements: Height: 15.24 mm Width: 15.54 Case Width: 50.83 mm Length: 52.39 mm Thick: 19.09 mm Jim

      Send it back, it is post war. The give-a-way is the catch, no TR crosses had this catch until after the war and they were made by Souval.

      I recently seen this book and it is more into the history of the Iron Cross than individual crosses themselves, although there are pictures of some but not all makers. I don't read German but I don't think it is a good reference book for the EK. But I could be wrong. Jim

      This spange is never marked. Yes spanges like EKs is a minefield and you should always ask before buying, I have a lot and still ask. Jim

      I agree that the cross has been denazified and then someone added a swastika later (I have not seen this style of swastika on any of my crosses). Jim

      Chris, The EKII is an L/18 - B.H. Mayers and the EKI is by Unknown maker. Jim

      Hi Chris I have a round EK1 that is listed as a Wiedmann and I think it is the same as yours (except yours is Boerger).

      PK, there are four diiferent prong types that Boerger used - four prongs one each corner, four prong center (two top, two bottom), four prongs (round prongs instead of flat), two prongs center. Jim

      I think it is a fake, I have all known round 3's and none of them have the thin date. I think this is the new brand being produced (forgot what country). Jim

      Another converted cross is the L/19. This cross was done by a jeweler and you can see where the hinge and catch was. I want to thank everyone for their comments. Jim

      After four years of putting this set together with a lot of help from collector friends I have finally completed this collection. My next project will completing my Spange collection. Jim

      Can you remove the disc and see if there is an anti-rotation pin setting low? Also, there is no known maker 51 for screwbacks. Check and see what maker is stamped on the disc, although I have not seen this stamp used by any maker (I have screwbacks by all known makers except L/14). Jim
