    1. Hey guys, I'd like to share the newest piece of my collection. Something that I have been looking for quite a while and waiting for the right one I have passed over several until this one came along. I understand this is the light model, approx 51g, 64x64 diameter at the points. Comments/critique always welcome! Rich
    2. I think there are many variations. My example has a disc. Rich
    3. Micha I think your crosses number 1 & 2 are the same frame and core. There are parts of the frame that match up but the 3rd one doesn't have these. Maybe number 3 is earlier? See the red circles and compare the same areas in crosses 1 & 2. Rich
    4. Micha Thanks for the reply. Comparing I don't think it is a '15'. I now think it might be a '44'. Do you have one of those to compare? Rich
    5. I am ever hopefull that someone here will be able to identify the maker of this EK2. Any ideas? Rich
    6. David Really like the DKiG! As it shows the same components as the war-time model I would assume it is very early. Do you know if this is the case? Rich
    7. At a quick glance you would think these came from the same die. The point about the missing leaf-tip made me examine the 2 examples in more detail and I see all sorts of small differences now. If these are Juncker, and going by their flight badges, more than one u-boat badge type would not be a surprise. For the pilot badge alone they had at least 3 types. Rich
    8. Very nice Dave and with the doc too!! Good luck in the research and that you find the DKiG list. (If I see one I'll let you know.). J T-W, can you mail me details of the Bundesarchiv to as I'd like to research my Ehrenpokal further too. Cheers Rich
    9. Congratulations Micha! An excellent choice!! Rich
    10. I don't know of any easily accesible lists that holds date/place of death of RKT. You can search in http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de/ on an individual basis but other than that???
    11. It's possible but how likely is it to come up with the recipient? You'd have to look at all RKT who died in that area and even then you could be left with more than one possibility. I don't know how easy it would be to collate information for that search. Worth a try though. How do you plan to proceed? Rich
    12. It's crazy. Yes understandable that the swastika get obliterated but the rest...?
    13. Sorry I still can't see cleary to be of any help. Have you tried searching on the words in google to see if it takes you anywhere? Rich
    14. Very nice J T-W!! I used to own one myself pretty much the same. Like a fool I sold it... Rich

    16. Hello, Nice looking EK1. Unfortunately the photos are not clear enough to see the inscriptions you describe. rich
    17. Thanks for the pic. I have no idea of details on Kreuzberg Nashorn unfortunately. Maybe someone can help on that... if he was Gesch?tzf?hrer 2./ what possible unit marking would his Nashorn have had? I got these two photos from ebay which shows Nashorns from this unit in Italy. Rich
    18. Very interesting! I haven't seen this type before. Rich
    19. Steinhauer u. L?ck Micro 800, type 'A'. Awarded September 1944.
    20. No doubt that he will receive at least a life peerage. Of course he'll accept it, after all labour are the new conservatives and they enjoy all the power and trappings that go with it.
