    1. That many won the RK des KvK? I had no idea. Were all of them with swords?
    2. These are great photos!! I wonder what people would think about his Red Banner of Labor if it surfaced on the market... Maybe it would be discarded as "messed with"? He looks great for his age!
    3. Volume 1 covers mainly the evolution of the Luftwaffe through it's uniforms and insignia. Very detailed on the actual uniform components, basics on waffenfarbe, and basic insignia. I think that Volume 1 can still be had for under two dollars if you really look. Volume two focuses on the various Officials and Admin organizations and insignia. Also, Hermann Goring Division and Fallshirmjager Corps is covered in the same regard. Volume 2 is very spendy. I felt that I did well finding mine for 300 dollars on Ebay. I have seen private book companies offer it for over 700 dollars. Volume 3 covers the LW Field Divisions, Female Auxilaries, Band and Drum Corps, and others. This one can typically be found for well under 200 dollars as well. In my experience, Ebay is the best place to get these. Paul
    4. That is a great story!! I did not know that you had this in your collection, Chris B! I would have loved to have seen your collection in all of it's past glory! I cannot imagine this cap being in a better home. I can't get over how vivid the violet is on the soutache.
    5. Hi Steiner, Thanks for your contribution!! Those are some great items you have. I am especially envious of the NCO straps!
    6. I think that the KM badges are among the best looking. I like their use of gold and silver metal and gilt. Congrats on getting a full house!
    7. Well, I am about to contradict my initial post. They do get better than that first board. My latest Heer medical score is this set of MEDICAL RESERVE RETIREE boards and tab I have never before seen a retiree board in all of my time collecting!!!
    8. I agree!! Congratulations!! Quality HG stuff is VERY difficult to find these day.
    9. Another amazing example Bob!! I have not seen so many markings on a piece of headgear. All we are missing is his picture!!
    10. These are for the "Wartime members of the Luftwaffe Corps of Engineers". They were brought into the luftwaffe for the duration of the war. They were not eligible for promotion. These men were in the same category as Wartime Officials. Here is a discussion link devoted to the Engineers: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16407
    11. Does anyone know if his tunic is still in existence? I would love to see those tabs in living color!
    12. LBA is the LW Acceptance stamping and the 35 is the year it was made/accepted. This congrats! This is the year the Luftwaffe came into existence. You have one of the first LW tunics made!!!! Can you please post it!??!?!?!
    13. Thanks for posting this topic, Kurt!! It was a very interesting view into the past!!
    14. I have never seen one better!! I could only wish! Are there any others out there? I would love to see more!
    15. I have never seen anything like it either. It could have been a local made item for any number of reasons from field maneuvers to distinguish teams in a relay race. Regardless, it is a very interesting piece of militaria. Maybe someone else may know better than I.
