    1. Great looking medals you all! The AFC is pretty awesome!
    2. My copy arrived on Christmas Eve. Perfect for anyone who collects US or Soviet Awards or simply is interested the Soviet-US relations during ww2.
    3. Very cool. It is possible to obtain one of these now?
    4. Interesting pip. What is the device on the shoulder board?
    5. Very interesting documents. I like the photos with him in his ribbon bars. Do you have the awards as well?
    6. Outstanding additions. This is among the most complete insignia displays I've seen. Rival's Gary's. Larry, that is a great photo. I like the pre-1933 DRA sports badge.
    7. Hi Chris, This was not the one near the Navy Yard. It was at the American Veteran's Center here in Washington DC. http://www.americanveteranscenter.org/avc-events/annual-conference/ Regards Paul
    8. It looks like one person's entire award inventory... were you able to get any history or background on the original owner? This is amazing. What a dream find.
    9. I took this photo at the Coast Guard Museum, within the Maritime Museum in Washington DC. This consists of every single Coast Guard specific medal and ribbon bar. Of course, this does not include the various DoD service medals and etc that members of the CG are authorized.
    10. I know that US ribbon bars do not have a huge following here, but I think that seeing the relative small number of CG Vietnam vets it is a noteworthy item. I hope that you like it. I like the fact he was awarded a Navy Commendation Medal. Not many Coast Guard member receive personal awards from other branches of service like this(unless they were prior service to that organization).
    11. Now that is something we do not see every day! This is amazing! Is that leather shrunk around the end of the staff, around the base of the spear head?
    12. Well, the Ruptured Duck and Collectors Guild are standard places with great reputations and liberal return policies! www.therupturedduck.com and www.germanmilitaria.com Their prices are not bargains, but you will be receiving a correct item with a lifetime guarantee for originality Paul
    13. Yes! That price is a gift, even if you do not collect these. It is a classic Zimmerman made cross (marked 20). They sell for about 1600-1800 Euro. IF you dont like it, you could always flip it for a huge profit. Also, add a few hundred Euro if the case is real.
    14. Oh nice!!!!!! I am in awe! Matches his signature perfectly!!
    15. Here is the final product! All done and accounted for. Now to find a few other shoulder slides and if I am lucky, some original award certificates. I feel that I was belong lucky to have found his Soldbuch!
    16. This is current issue? Very interesting! Thank you for sharing.
    17. It looks as if you hit a jackpot my friend! Although I do not like the Flak badge too much at all. It looks like a casting.
    18. What is the story here? Did you have this many bad experiences on Ebay? Please provide some background.
    19. Thank you! :-) There have to be more miniature US medal bars out there!
    20. Definitely a beamter of some sort. Very interesting. It looks like the second officer rank from the bottom (Oberleutnant equivalent). Perhaps Austrian?
