      Ooops

Those bars have a tendency to pop off like that. I am glad that we use the pin/clutch mechanisms on ours.
    2. Thank you for sharing your medals and book exerpts. This medal is among my favorite put out by the Austrians. Are there any statements coving the situation where a member(God forbid) was wounded more than five times? Is another ribbon wound ribbon started?
    3. That is awesome!! Can you please show the markings? How did you find it?
    4. You did very well. Does anyone know anything about this Admiral? I would like to know more about him! paul
    5. What an awesome set of photos! I like how they are labeled! Are there more?
    6. Hi Arnim, I would love to read some of his stories and see more of his photos!!! How did he get the EK2?
    7. Amazing stuff Garth! The Mexican War Medal is a beauty!
    8. David, That insignia is used by both genders(on the visor) up to the rank of CPO. Today, when we become a CPO, the device changes to an anchor(and gets changed for Senior Chief and Master Chief as well).
    9. And here is another! It seems that you got yours at a steal of a price!! Congrats! http://www.johnnyg.westhost.com/helmets-usa-4.html
    10. I guess I was wrong. Your cap is correct, as is! Check out about halfway down this link(another one for sale). http://www.baystatemilitaria.com/WWII/WWIIHeadgear.htm
    11. Gordon, Can you please show it to us? How would they get six stripes onto that ribbon?
    12. Thank you for sharing these treasures with us here! I cannot read the documents as the letters are too small for me. I assume that the first two are for promotions? Can you help me with these? Did he volunteer to go into the TSD in 1944, when that program emerged? Regards Paul
    13. That is a very nice WW2 era cap for a CG Chief(or naval). Are there any tags inside the visor? As stated by David, the badge is incorrect. It should be the CPO anchor.
    14. Arnim, That is a great set of photos of your father! What was his specialty? I see that he has a KVK2 in his buttonhole. What is the second ribbon under the KVK?
    15. WOW Garth!! You have been VERY busy lately! Which one is the Belfor Medal? Was it a commemorative medal? What medal is it in the "Older Medals" catagory with the white ribbon(with eagle)? What is your oldest medal?
    16. Hi! Can you please show some images of the interior? Very attractive looking cap!
    17. Official or unofficial, it is still a really cool and attributed piece.
    18. Hello, It is my opinion based upon these images that the tabs are not original. The badge material(white cloth) is much coarser than I am used to seeing. Also, the buckram type is used on many reproductions seen on Ebay. Shoot Robin Lubstein a PM to get his take on the skulls. The patina looks strange on them to me. I have an open mind, but I have serious doubts on these. Does anyone else have a take on them? Regards Paul
